What the hell was I thinking when I wrote my previous post?

Same thought I had...that thing I used to make was a walking heart attack!

Now I usualy just get my pizza with black olives, onions, and fresh crushed garlic.

My favorite food ;)

But my favorite kinds are, well, weird. I like Pizza Hut and Fazoli's; various kinds of frozen can be good but obviously differ in quality. My favorites are Red Baron, Tony's, and Digornio- though those little Totino's pizzas have a certain appeal somehow as well.

As for toppings, pepperoni, pepperoni and italian sausage, cheese, or four-cheese are all good. One day I want to try anchovies if I can make sure they're headless/finless first.

I tend to like spicy/salty sauce rather than sweet sauce. Domino's is okay, but kinda blah for this reason. I'm also not very wild about crust, although I'm pretty fond of Pizza Hut stuffed crust.

Hard to believe I never jumped into this conversation... I generally just get regular cheese pizza, so here are my favorite places in the cities I've lived in:

Back in Clearwater it was Capogna's Dugout.
In Gainesville it was Leonardo's.
Here in Dallas we get Pastazios or Frazini's.
And in Rome it's Piazza San Callisto - best pizza I've ever had.

How many times when you were in Rome, did you utter the phrase "When in Rome"?

What I love about pizza is there's no real difference from cheap to expensive.  Sure the toppings can change but for me I perfectly happy with a $10 Costco pizza.

Normally I'm not a big fan of Pizza Hut's pizza, but I just tried the new Cheesy Bites Crust pizza earlier today, and damn was it good. Still have to go with Papa John's as my #1 national pizza joint.

Well, which variety are we talking about?

For a thin crust, I really like John's in downtown NYC.  They only serve pies.  Sorry, no slices.  Everything is super fresh, and it's just fantastic.

For deepdish, Chicago really made me a believer.  I recall a couple of places in Chicago that were chains that made a fantastic deep dish pizza.  Giordano's was one.  I'm spacing on the other, though.  But when I was going to Wizard World Chicago about 3 years running, deep dish pizza was always on the itinerary.

I'm actually moving back to Chicago this summer...Giordano's is great, my personal favorite as pizzas go, but another place to check out there is Lou Malnati's.

I'm very much impartial to very thin and somewhat crispy crusted pizza.  The **** the chains make (outside of Papa Murphy's Take and Bake) is just that...****.  There are two local family spots here in town that make wonderful thin crust pizza.

When did hand tossed doughy **** crust come in to fashion?  I remember growing up and having it all be a thin crust style pizza at places like Pizza Hut, what happened and why do people like that crap

I like my pizza like I like my women:  Thick, soft, and covered with pineapple and Canadian Bacon.

I'm on day 3 of a fast, and you bump a thread called P-I-Z-Z-A.

Just great.   >:(

Wasn't there a cheeseburger thread around here somewhere?
