I've got tickets to see a House of Flying Daggers tomorrow at 7:30.

I absolutely can't wait!

(I plan on watching Warriors of Heaven and Earth sometime this week - I'll let you know what I think.)

Out of nowhere, it turned out to be a glorious DVD day:

Napoleon Dynamite - which I've already watched tonight and reconfirms my belief that it may be my favorite movie of 2004.

King Arthur - which was AWEFUL in the theaters, and I'm hoping that the DVD being restored to its pre-PG13 hacking might help it, but I doubt it.

Shawn of the Dead - can't wait to finally see this!

Manchurian Candidate - even if you're a fan of the original, this is a really great update, so I had to add it.

So many movies... I'm backed up by about 16 titles, and next week is Anchorman and Garden State, so it's not slowing down.

We just about picked up Napoleon Dynamite yesterday when checking out at Wal-Mart, it was priced at $19.96 I believe.  We never got the chance to see it in the theatres, it got here late in its run and we didn't have time to see it at that time.  I always thought it looked hilarious, but we couldn't quite pull the trigger on the blind purchase, so we are probably going to rent it tonight first.  Probably could have just bought it, it looks really good, maybe we'll end up buying it anyways.  I'll have the same conundrum next week with Garden State .

Oh, I also noticed yesterday while perusing the DVD section, that the Ben Affleck bomb "Surviving Christmas" was there...didn't that come out like a month or two ago?  Yikes, that was quick .

Before you cave on ND, it was 15.99 at Best Buy, if that helps the dilemma any.

Anyone know if the Anchorman 2-pack will be available at any stores?  The 2nd disc is another full movie, but I am not seeing it advertised at Circuit City, Best Buy, etc

Yeah, I noticed the ad after I posted thanks.  Went by Circuit City in hopes of finding the Anchorman 2-pack.  Nada.  One of the employees argued that there was no such thing and that there was no way a sequel was out already.  I tried to explain that they cut the original movie into 2 movies.  Releasing all the unused footage for a 2nd film.  Ended up finding it at Wal Mart.
