Well it does not look like Lucas held much back at all did he?  Those are some stomach crawling shots of poor Anakin.  I will have to go easy on the popcorn so I don't chuck it all up.

This was the scene filmed during Episode II.  The Making Of book explains this rather nicely (PS That isn't Ewan under the robe) :)

I heard rumors about that during the filming of AOTC.  Looks to be accurate.  I am amazed that Lucas just did not tell him ILMers to CGI Owen and Kenobi and Beru.  He must have been a short a few grand that day.

I am still wondering if Anakin actually falls into the lava itself?  Like falling in a pool of water and going under.  That shot above almost looks like the just poked his head out from going under the lava.  I guess he has to get all the burns?
