Daredevil Evel Knievel was supposed to jump his motorcycle over a pool of 13 man-eating sharks at the International Amphitheater before a national TV audience, but he slammed into a retaining wall hours before the real jump. About 3,000 people showed up for the January 31 event at the amphitheater. They were offered refunds.
