Darth Vader, Emperor's Wrath
« on: March 8, 2003, 10:16 PM »
Why does Darth Vader (in this figure) have both of his hands?  He lost his right one just before picking up the Emperor.

Good question, huh?

It would have been good if he had a moulded stump with protruding wires and all.

I have always thought that Hasbro might of thought that the missing hand would be too groooooosooooome for little kids. But then the 12" Vader had it so I do not know.
Maybe it was too small to do correctly.
Ok throw me a bone, I have no idea. :)

since we're talking about this figure... how about his force file pic??? it's not even in the emporers throne room. I would think it would have been involved in the scene that the figure is based on.  8)

Boba Binks, I agree with you.

The hand is removable.  But, yeah, it should be a stump with some wires protruding.  But then, we couldn't have gotten that nifty  ;) repaint of this figure in the Imperial Forces 4-Pack.

It also should have had a removeable helmet, but then I suppose it wouldn't have had the cool transluscent effect . . .

No Way!!!!!!!!
That statement bought a tear to my eye :'(
I never even saw this figure at retail over here in the UK. The only one I have ever seen is my one.
I was lucky enough to trade it with someone in the US, so I am not about to start chopping him anytime soon.

Two items. I really like this figure and have it displayed with the Millenium edition emperor zapping Vader for not completing an assignment. Thus I think it is okay for him to have the hand. IF I wanted to do the scene with the emperor and Vader in the throne room, I can take the hand off. I like his glow in the dark feature also!

For fun, if you collect LOTR figures put Vader Emperor's Wrath next to the new King of the Dead for a glow in the dark wonderment! It does look pretty cool.
Agree, I have he emporor zapping vader for not destroying the rebel base at Yavin.
