Found "Fletch" last night while picking up Star Wars.  Then I rushed right out this morning to put it in my safety deposit box.  Twenty years from now, I'm gonna use it to put my kids through school.

Boo. Hiss. Shoulda nabbed a lenticular cover "Batman Begins". That's where the money is(n't).

Found the sole funding of my not-so-distant Criterion Spinal Tap purchase. A mere $200 $15, and some warm fuzzies...

Ah, Criterion Spinal Tap.  One of the first two titles I ever bought, oh, almost seven years ago now.  Paid about $25.

What, is it supposed to be rare now, or something?

Anywhere between $75 - $125 secondary market. I sold my MGM disk, forcing myself to cough up whatever it costs for a CC edition. Having gotten #1 (This Island Earth) and #2 (MST3K: The Movie) of my Top 5 DVD's of all time, I figured it's time for #3.

Anyways...

Picked up ROTS without the bonus disc, was $16.20... Looking at the bonus disc, I realized its probably not worth $4.

Is it a different movie?  Or are you paying $125.00 for a nicer box and a few featurettes?

Has anyone picked up the new Office Space? I didn't see it at Wal-Mart, last night.

I went to three different Wal*Marts today after work, looking for the DVD w/Bonus Disc and BF2. I got ****. Nothing. All 3 Wal*Marts were sold out of the bonus disc, and BF2, and not one of them even had the figure packs.

**** WAL*MART.

YOU SUCK.

I personally wouldn't pay $125. I'm closer to the $75 leaning crowd. The Criterion extras are more significant, IMO. I'll end up owning both.

If anyone's interested;

Direct from Criterion

A pawn shop, and they just so happened to have all 5 disks. The same pawn shop that tried to sell G.I. Joe Season 1 for $70.  ::)

Don't sweat it - the bonus disc isn't worth it.

Spend the $5 you saved on a fig.

I disagree, I think the featurette on showing Anakin-Vader is well worth it to see how horrible Lucas is at directing.  Please tell me those conversations with Hayden were entirely staged.  What an utter lack of passion and communication.  If that's actual footage I gained a lot of respect for Hayden's ability to act (without direction).

Alls you need to do is view "Life as a House". It's no secret that George Lucas ruins otherwise fantastic actors with his direction and poor dialogue.

Unfortunately, no one did.
