I thought I saw that it started mid-month though, that's why I asked about the ending date.  But maybe I'm mistaken.  Are they just by regular calendar months?  That'd be nice and easy, if that's the case.

Yep, they are by calendar months.  What I'll do is pick maybe one pic from each month, reduce them as much as I can and post them here, and you can do whatever you like with them if you want to mention the past submissions to try and get a little interest brewing in this month's and upcoming months.

Here's a breakout of what they have been so far -

Month 1 - Star Wars Hotties
Month 2 - Star Wars Smugglers
Month 3 - Star Wars Sith Lords
Month 4 - Star Wars Droids

Month 5 is still kind of up in the air I think... but I think we are going to do this -

Month 5 - Bounty Hunters/Terrorists
Month 6 - Organic Confederate Troops
Month 7 - ?
Month 8 - ?
Month 9 - ?
Month 10 - ?

Some possible ideas for later on would be -

- Ancient Republic Troopers
- Unknown Regions Alien
- Arms Dealer

The thing that I really like about these is the freedom to make your own version of that type of character; there's no specific design you need to try and follow.  Everyone makes their own fan-fic custom figure.

Are the first three months contests still ongoing, J?  I was just thinking I'd be pimping the Droids one, since I thought the other three had already ended by now...  Or can folks still chime into those older ones there too?

They can still add on there if they want; we're not too strict about it.   We've had a few people join in late and want to go back and do the past month ones.  But however you want to handle a front page mention is fine.  I was just showing a few past submissions.

Well, this month is pretty much done, so I don't know if we're getting any mention on it or not for the customizing challenge.  Maybe next month?

I'm working as quickly as I can on the next photonovel in the Rykrof Enloe series.  Any chance we can get a mention on it once it's finished?
