Clone #6, Commander, Gunner Photo Comparison
« on: April 16, 2005, 10:42 PM »
Ok, I've got all 3 of these guys now and thought I'd show a photo comparison that I've done....

All 3 in a row

Wing Span Check

Gunner Doing the Splits

Riding the Speeder Bike

Riding the AT-RT

Riding the Taun Taun

Here is #6 with the Gunner's Gear on, next to a Gunner

Commander with the Skirt Trimmed off

great pics, i dont understand why they just didnt use one body with all the articulation for all 3 of them, and then just added the appropiate paint apps or accessories, would have saved a lot of money on development and toolings

Wow, thanks a lot for those pics. That's very enlightening.

It seems that every different clone has something unique going for it, articulation-wise, but none really are a perfect version, which I'm sure is intentional. I'll be curious to see if the SA Clone #41 has the cool hip articulation from the Gunner. If so, I can imagine that I'll not only want to army build with it, but convert a few Gunners over to the SA body style.

Awesome pics, thanks for all of them.

Are the Gunner's legs exactly like VOTC Luke's, or are they easier to move?

Much Easier.  VOTC Lukes had to "Pop" a bit open if I recall correctly (I can't find mine right now) and the Gunner is a "Ball Joint", but still stiff enough for him to stand.

That is exactly what I have noticed as well.  I was able to find the Commander and Gunner, although at the higher-price Kohl's, last week....and although all the clones are nice figures, you can see that not one of them is entirely "perfect".  One has ball jointed shoulders, a different one has ball jointed hips, etc.  Hopefully the SA Clone #41 will bring everything together.

And some Articulation at the Waist/Hips or even Torso/Chest would be nice.  Not that it is missing too much in the 3 we have, but a Prone Position would be easier to pull off with it.

Cool.  I've been wanting to see some decent comparison shots of all 3.  Granted, I could've probably passed on the Tauntaun series, but still, kickass!

Thanks for the pictorial Paul.  8)

I couldn't find my Dewback, so the Taun Taun had to fill in...

Thanks for showing them to us all! You have the guts to show us what we all do with the figures when no one is arround. ;D

Cool pics. Even better for those of us who haven't found the 33-and-up Clones yet.  I admit I've stayed away from most of the current ROTS figures, but these are the ones that wet my appetite.  Those look cool on that AT-RT! Or maybe they look like clowns riding a bike, but either way, I'm into it.

Thanks for the pics! I'm definately going to have to get a couple Clone Commander's, whenever I find them. Maybe a couple of gunners, too. Hmm.

Awesome pics!

Yeah, thanks for those pics, that must have been time consuming.  I think the Tauntaun was overdoing it a bit J/K, very cool.

I think they are all great figures, I can't wait for the commander and gunner to show up in NY.
