Yeah, those obviously aren't "rules" that Chris posted there. Just a general suggestion to some of the less than adept posters to put a little extra effort into things so we can all understand them a little easier.
His comments don't really apply to the vast majority of folks here, and we could care less of anyone mispells a word or two in their posts, or uses some goofy grammar, or whatnot. No biggie at all.
But there's some "newbie" folks that pop in from time to time, who don't realize that people here actually like to be able to read what they're posting, and they haul ass through their post like a buzz saw, mispelling, abbreviating things, typing in all caps, or just typing up the most random pile of unreadable horse **** you've ever seen. Those are the people Chris was mostly directing his comments towards. Just pointing out to the newer folks to make some effort, since this isn't like some sites where the intelligence factor has all but disappeared.
That's all. Hell, if spelling and grammar actually counted, we would've had to fire DSJ a long time ago...
