But are you (or KB) kidding me with that thing?!?  I thought it was going to be more TO SCALE!!!  That totally blows.  Glad they snipped it's tail off, but I was hoping the thing would better match the nicely scaled FX X-Wing.  No such luck apparently.  Just ruined my Friday night...

Hey Jeff!  Thanks for scooping the news for us! And for stopping on by the forums.  This one is a head scratcher...those wings look awful.  Is this the exact same ship?  I see the black detail but it doesn't look too different

Looks totally identical except for the missing backside.  Hopefully this is just an early picture of it, and the final wings will be more to scale like we've all been anticipating for many months now...

Hi JediMAC and OCB,

Thanks for the welcome to JediDefender.

I've been lurking around here for a bit, but a e-mail note from an on-line friend recently convinved me to start posting...  

As for the TIE, I think it is pretty much the same mold as before, but with the back end of the cockpit re-sculped to get rid of the battery compartment.

Oh, and the pilot is pretty much the same one fom the Bomber and the Iterceptor.

Yeah I was told long ago that the wings were going to be larger. If not, that is bad. At least it is a ship that everyone can use.

Oh, I hope they show up at the KB Stores and not just the website. I also want the 12" Pig Guard.

Welp,

Chalk me up for the disappointed column.  The fans have been clamoring for a properly scaled TIE Fighter (In the Solar Panel Department.  Ya know, just the kinda TIE that wouldn't look completely stupid sitting next to...

Oh, say the TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced x1, or TIE Interceptor which are all either REAL close to accurate or dead on...

Unfortunately, someone at Hasbro said "Hey, let's just fix the back end!  I mean, why put ALL our effort into this and sell TONS of them when we can do a half-butted job and sell a few!"

Eh, maybe that's a bit harsh, but I'm disappointed...  I'll buy one, and use it to, hopefully, reproduce the accurate cockpit...  Had they done it COMPLETELY nice I'd be buying at LEAST 3 of the badboy, and possibly 6 or more...  Disappointing, to say the least.

Oh well...  It is a mock-up, and it COULD change...  I'm not gonna hold my breath on it, but I always like to leave that sliver of hope until I see it in person.  

Too bad...   Really.
