this is a great thread! i'm gonna have to join in too, the only problem is i have no idea what to use for a head...i don't know if a padme would work or not...maybe the secret ceremony head?

the 12" Biker Scout i am working on looks like my husband so that has him done. i have to be in Royal Guard attire since i am going to be working on completing the costume (finally!) with my aunt who can sew the robes for me - yay!  :D

this is a photo of my husband joe and i:

and here we are in costume...at a halloween party last year...i won most gory/scary costume...i wonder why?  ;)

I think a Mara Jade head would be perfect for you.
I remember my dream now.

I agree, a Mara Jade head would probably work very well.  Even a Scarlet head from the GI Joe line.

Definately Mara Jade there. Sorry, I've been gone all week to respond. This group project will end at the end of september so you have penty of time to collect parts.

^ yeah i can do that Phruby, why not? it'll be that much more fun!

do you think i can still use the Mara Jade body or will i need another body? btw, in the photo i have a chestburster coming out of my t-shirt...its hard to see since its so low res. here is a more current pic with my ERG helmet on  ;)

i know what alien to use, one from an older micro machines should be about the right scale with some minor modifications. now i am really excited about doing this!

If you go with the helmet, the Jade head will never fit. Maybe if you could make it swap heads it will work. Another figure you could use is the gi joe bombstrike.

i was thinking of just having a loose helmet to "hold" if that makes sense, b/c i will have the robes for a complete Royal Guard costume soon enough. i may get armor for underneath like Carnor Jax, but styled in a way more suitable to a female.  ;)

the gi joe bombstrike is definitely more well-endowed than myself  :-[

thanks for all the help Phruby  :)

Not sure if I'll try this group project, but here are a couple pics of me (and my girlfriend) from our recent trip to Niagara Falls:

The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

The Mara would be good, I'd say, but I think the ROTS Mon Mothma would suit you more (Facially, at least. The hair is a lot different, but hairstyles do change and not faces :P )

Gregorbian, you kind of remind me of an old GI Joe sumo wrestler figure I use to have. I can't remember his name. I'll have to look thru yojoe.com for a picture.

Great, I'll look around and see if I have any figures that might work if you want to try out this challenge.

If you guys can find a decent figure, I might try it out.  Right now I'm thinking a Dengar body with one of those Jurassic Park guy's heads...

I'm trying to think which head would work for you...an Alan Grant with a sculpted jawline would work real well, methinks.

The picture kept, will remind me...
