Most You've Ever Spent on a Single Collectible

Interesting topic.

The most I've dropped on any 1 item is the $325 for the Code 3 Republic Gunship.

I have a couple items in the $150 range...mostly carded vintage and the FAO Shuttle.  And I think I paid around $225 for my boxed vintage shuttle.

I much prefer a good bargain though.

I'm along the same lines as you E...

I think my double-telescoping Luke was probably the highest I've paid for any single figure, but like my MR FX saber was up there (as it was an impulse buy at C3 too).

Without a doubt though, my most expensive buy was a MIB (Box c8 or so) Droids A-WIng.  All inserts, no stickers applied...  That cost me a pretty penney a long time ago.  It's sad to see how those dipped in price really.

First of all, the Marvin art piece is gorgeous, jokabofe.  If I had the money, I would have made the same decision you did.

Secondly, put on your helmets, because it's CHEAP BASTARD ALERT:

-Most I've ever paid for a collectible: $100.00 for the Saga Imperial Shuttle from KB (free shipping!)

-Most I've ever paid for a single action figure:  $18.00 for the C3 Vader. 

Years ago, I paid 35 dollars for a single basketball card (an NBA Hoops Detroit Pistons World Champions card in the early 1990s) and saw it dwindle to less than a dollar within two years.  Needless to say, I don't pay a secondary market rate for anything these days unless it's absolutely necessary.  I'd love to get some of the more extravagant pieces (the Code 3 Slave I and the MR Sidious saber would be the only two high end pieces I'd like to have, honestly), but I never have the sufficient cash flow to buy either one of them.  Oh well, when I win the lottery and/or conquer South Carolina, this will change.

The single most expensive item I have bought is my Bonus Pit Droid Sidous from Ep. 1.  $100 dollars for one figure.  Just need one more to complete that focus of mine.

I also just thought of my yellow Clone Bust that I got off ebay for $120 or something close to that.  Once I got it open I then proceeded to drop it.   Luckly the only thing that broke was its finger which I glued back on.

The most I have paid on a SW item is my carded Boba Fett Kubrick back in the day, $447. US followed by the Code 3 Millenium Falcon $327.97 US all said and done .

As for another collectible, my Mattel Space 1999 eagle, around $300. US.

price. He was $155 plus shipping I think.
No more paying retail for RAH for me though! mwahahaha!

$120 on a G1 Transformers Megatron reissue.

The next year, it was reissued again, with more accessories, and $50 cheaper. So that was the last true Takara Transformer I ever bought.

I'll end up dropping more when I buy the Saga Imperial Shuttle, I'm sure.

Popy  PC-12 Yamato DX- $750, I’ve told myself I’ll never spend that much on a single toy again, but I’m afraid if I ever find a nice Daikengo Build Plan for less than a thousand I may just jump on it. Other notable purchases; Dangard DX- $400, Galaxy Express Cosmo Dragoon-$400, Mego carded Andorian-$350… crap, if I still smoked I think I’d have one now.

I think I spent $275 or $300 for my R2-D2 Pepsi cooler, the ones that they filled with ice and put cans of Pepsi in at convenience stores back when Ep1 came out.  It was unused in the box.  Unfortunately, it was in our shed, which leaks and now bugs are in there, so the box is pretty much crap now.
