Should I open Motti!?

Hello everybody! Im new here, but I hope to stay!

For weeks I have been wanting to get a loose Admiral Motti. Then this weekend, I score a carded one in pretty good condition for 5.00.  Should I open it? I really want to display him in my loose collection (Im a mostly loose collector) but Motti and Hooded Leia seem to be the single rarest figures in the POTF2 line. Anyway, now Im starting to get a little tired with collecting in general, so if I happen to want to sell him loose in a couple of years, he won't be worth ANYTHING near his carded price! Should I open this baby now, or should I wait to get one loose on eBay!?

Open it!  You only paid $5 anyway, so you've got nothing to lose.  And besides, who cares what it's "worth", open it since that's the reason you collect, right?

I say open it. I think all Imperials, rare or not, are definite openers.

$5 is retail.  You could probably sell a loose Motti for $5 with little to no problem, so you're not losing any money on the deal.  Open it.

It's not worth what it used to be, both loose and carded. Free him from his plastic prison.

Yeah I say open it.  Motti's not COMMON but "rare" is tough to apply to any figure that isn't fetching tons on Ebay.  Good figure, one of the better IO's they've made, and I think the "smooth" sculpt of the uniform is more realistic than the more heavily textured Ozzel/ROTS Tarkin figures (Tarkin's not bad at all).

I have 2 loose Motti's, one's for future possible customizing needs.  Good figure, just needs more articulation to sit down at his seat he gets choked at.

If you're a loose collector I think you should open it. I'm sure he'd look pretty cool standing next to Vader and some Stormtroopers.

I had a situation like this too. I bought Tarkin for $5.00 about 3 weeks ago and so far I've kept him in the package.
