Episode III Continues To Dominate

For the second weekend in a row, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith topped the box office with a whopping $70.75 million. Taking the long Memorial Day weekend is big news for Lucas's wallet, especially since it beat two new films expected to generate quite a bit themselves (Madagascar, and The Longest Yard).

Attakus Attacks Paris

As we mentioned earlier, Attakus had some teasing glimpses of their new line of (incredibly) large dioramas, but StarWars.com takes the cake with a gallery of new images of both the Death Star Hangar and Dagobah dioramas. Click that incredible Yoda Hutt image for the whole article.

As was reported here earlier, these dioramas are supposed to be at least near to-scale with the 3.75" Hasbro figures. With that in mind, the sets (each diorama sold in 2 parts) are bound to be hot among action figure collectors.

New Review: Dannik Jerriko

Jedi Defender.com's latest review is everyone's favorite Hookah Smoker from the Cantina, Dannik Jerriko (Cantina Encounter). A tough figure for me to give a final judgment on, Dannik has been one of the Cantina Aliens I've always wanted to see done, yet Hasbro made a couple fatal errors on his already ugly face. My review still remains a bit positive on him, but I can't possibly have overlooked those gaping holes Hasbro included (and which simply weren't needed).

Attakus Gives Your Figures A Home

StarWars.com has a nice little article up about the Attakus statues and dioramas with a couple preview pictures of a Wicket and Greivous, both due out some time down the road. What the kicker is, and 3.75" diorama fans rejoice, ist that the article confirms that the dioramas are "scaled to about the size of Hasbro's 3 3/4 inch figure line". It also sounds like they're going to be quite large dioramas as well, broken into two fair sized pieces for both the initial Dagobah and Death Star scenes.

Sounds like you don't need to necessarilly be an Attakus collector to want these for your 3.75" figure collection. Click the image of everyone's favorite funky general above, and read the story at StarWars.com.

A Hero Falls Music Video

StarWars.com is playing host to a downloadable music video for Revenge of the Sith's theme, A Hero Falls.
