Watto's Junk Yard / Re: TTT DVDs (and other ripoffs)

My take is this:

It's the theatrical version.  I'd like to have that.  Also, the extras are markedly different on each version.  The extra's on the theatrical version won't be available on the extended version.

So, I'll be buying both, and those are my reasons why.

I've been to Vegas once, and Atlantic City a number of times.  I usually play blackjack, and the occassional machine, and that's it.  Some key tips?

Only gamble money that you can afford to lose.  In fact, think of it as spending money, and that's it.  It's money that you're using for entertainment, and no more.  If you start using money that you might need for something else (hotel, rental car, rent, etc), then you've got a problem.

As for winning and losing...both happen.  The odds favor the house, otherwise they wouldn't be in the casino business.  I've won big and lost big.  There are definitely some rules that you should keep in mind.

-Don't play poker.  Only play poker with people you know.  Otherwise, you could be walking into a setup, where several people could be playing in a cooperative fashion.  If that happens, they could really taje you for a ride.

-If you play blackjack, learn basic strategy.  Also, playing at more expensive tables is usually better.  Why?  Because fewer players means fewer variables in terms of what cards get drawn, and patterns in the cards are a little easier to pick up on.  And finally, in blackjack, if you win a hand, don't stay at the same bet level.  Increase your bet with some of the money you just won in the previous hand.  This is called progressive betting, and will help you win if your luck and the cards hold out.

-One last tip:  if you win, and you've made 10% or more of your bankroll in your winnings:  walk away.  Call it a day, and spend it on a meal, or something nice, and quickly.

That's gambler's 101 according to Nicklab.  Hope I could be of help.

It's no Oscar winner, but it was decent.  Especially as a DVD bargain bin buy.  I own it.

I've checked myself and all my family members on this one:  Death Clock

When is your death suppose to take place?  Mine is February 9, 2046.  I would be very happy if I made it 70 years of age.

Mine did not come up with a date I was happy with.  Time to make some SERIOUS life changes

I would like to add a few wants to this gracious offer of yours Chris.  :)

Star Wars:
Any and all of the Clonetrooper 3-packs
CW Jedi 3-pack

McFarlane baseball figs:
Mariners A-Rod
Indians Jim Thome
Blue Jays Clemens

Chuckles, I've got an extra A-Rod.  Do you have anything up for trade?

I'm only missing a few Action Fleet pieces, and the TIE Defender is one of them.  Hopefully I'll be able to score it at some point.  I never saw it at retail, along with the E-Wing.  So, it's on my short list of Action Fleet that I'm looking for.  That includes....

TIE Defender
Remote Controlled AT-AT
EPISODE I Series Alpha Droid Starfighter
Series Alpha Cloud Car
Hoth Base with Rebel Snowspeeder
SAGA Republic Assault Ship
SAGA Republic Gunship
SAGA Slave I

I store mine in baseball card storage sheets.  They're a clear plastic, and can be put in a binder.  You can fit 12 or 16 on each sheet.

I've heard that Boromir is going to come out as a single packed figure.  Not sure which color packaging.  But an educated guess tells me that it would be in blue packaging.

Oh, and I forgot to mention...I got my Sharku and Warg this morning, too!  It was a LOTR BO-nanza!

Well, if it's any consolation, I haven't seen Pelenor Fields Aragorn or Armored Eowyn yet.  Also, I paid $15 for Bilbo.  I thought it was a little high, but not crazy.

Hey, I saw Bon Jovi too. Not by choice, but because that was the only taping of Saturday Night Live I've ever been able to get into.  Had to be honest with that one.  It was the infamous "Joey Buttafucco" episode.

WOOHOO!  Traded this morning for Eowyn, and bought a Prologue Bilbo a little later!

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

Try turning the left wrist of that Clone with the binoculars again DUSTRHO, it is articulated, and is great when you remove the binoculars, because he can hold his rifle with both hands.

His wrist is articulated???  I never would have known.  I actually thought I had tried moving it around, but maybe I wasn't trying hard enough.  I'll have to try again when I get home from work tonight.  Thanks for the tip Chewie!

I've found that all of the Clone Troopers in the 3-Packs have articulated wrists.  And it's almost always in the hand holding the weapon.  Haven't seen the binocular version yet, though.

Oh, god!  I don't understand why my Yankees would pursue Armando Benitez!  I think my chances of suffering a heart attack have just gone up exponentially.  :(

I hope he blows as many games for the Yankees as he did for the Mets.

Well, that changed rather quickly.  Frankly, I can't understand why Seattle agreed to take Benitez.

And alas, the Red Sox don't seem to have enough gas in the tank to win the AL East.  They're 7-1/2 games back in the division.  AND, they're 2 games back in the Wild Card.  They really need to turn it on if they're going to catch Oakland.

But, my Yanks appear to be on the verge of winning yet another AL East title.  I just hope the starting pitching can hold up, and Boone breaks out of his slump.
