I don't think Pete Rose should get re-instated.  He won't come clean, and he bet on games he was involved in.  In fact, in his role as manager, he was in a position to save the good pitchers in his bullpen for the game he was betting on.  And people in the know could discern which game that might be, because he would play scrubs the day before, and save his bullpen.  He tossed aside the integrity of the game.  And I sincerely hope that if he does get re-instated, that the election committee won't vote Rose into the hall.  Accomplishments on the field or not, Pete Rose was a big boy when he made his mistakes.  He know what he was doing.  He should be forced to live with the consequences.

Here in Seattle, that's already yesterday's news....as our own UW Husky Coach Rick Neuheisel has been caught betting on a basketball pool. I guess he won 20 grand or something.  And the shady dealings of sports players/coaches rumbles on.

I'm glad to hear Sosa was cleared though.

Wanna talk about shady college money scams?  How about how much colleges are making off of their student athletes?  Not just in ticket sales, but merchandising, sponsorships, and television contracts.  They're paying for more than just scholarships and coach's contracts with that cash.

I've seen numerous Torri Hunter's around here.  And I spent time taking notice of one thing...

The regular version, with Minnesota on the Jersey has Minnesota in white with red outlining; the numbers are red with white outlining; and the hat has the M

If anyone's been scarce in this wave, at least around here, it's been the Yankees, Giambi in A's uniform, Schilling in Phillie's uniform, Tejada and Kendell

One thing, for me at least, that's been an added bonus of quitting caffeine is this:  when I do indulge in it for the purpose of using caffeine as a stimulant, it actually works now!

I used to enjoy a regular cup of coffee or soda.  Thing is, in my case, if I didn't have that coffee or soda, I got splitting headaches.  This went on for a period of months.  I finally made the connection to caffeine, and quit drinking coffee and soda.  Magically, after a couple of days of withdrawal headaches, they went away!  Caffeine is definitely addictive, and sometimes you need to quit.

I know that.  However, in the theatrical cut, they didn't make the raid at all.  Both Jedi are in the arena from begining to end.  Anyway, I'm sticking by my theory.

I might start drinking this stuff.  I had to give up caffeine because I was addicted.  When I quit, I even went through a mild withdrawal.  Thankfully, the headaches I was getting from caffeine dependancy went away.

For those who don't know, the Chicago Symphony is probably the best symphony orchestra in America.

The examination of Sammy's bats is definitely important.  But what's more important?  How will Sammy fare in the future?

If his homerun numbers start to drop off, and he starts hitting a lot of fly balls, or doubles, then it taints a lot if not all of his personal hitting stats.  If he keeps on putting up the same, average number of homers with increased scrutiny, then I can accept this as a mistake.  If not, his career is tainted.

Been playing bass for the past 12 years.  My current band is currently popping in and out of the recording studio, working on our second CD-EP.  We've got label aspirations, and some strong material.

I would've gone with Vader at number one.  Thing is, he did manage to redeem himself.

Anyone notice that Hayden Christensen's looking a little bigger?  He was one of the actors commenting on the various heroes and villains.  Looks like he put some weight on for EPISODE III.

I don't get why we're getting so many of certain players.  Seems a might unfair to a lot of the hardworking guys in the NHL.  CuJo has gotten a pretty fair shake in the line so far.  Do we really need another?  Especially another Red Wing?  How many do we have at this point?  Can we at least get some players from the teams that are actually in the Stanley Cup Finals?!
