Holy crap do I ever want this figure :o

Now that is pretty cool.  But still that assclown McFarlane won't make more Devils.  Shame on him since his sculpting shop is IN New Jersey.

I've seen them, and now I feel quite justified in saying that these are pieces of crap.   Shame on you Hasbro.

Nice case Jason.  We got the right royal shaft on NFL 11.  Walmart didn't get any in Western Canada :'(  I was able to pick up a McGahee chase at another retailer but my dream of spinning a no helmet Brady into a 12 back didn't come to fruition.

Chases have been few and far between, Brent.  I haven't seen a single chase at retail in months.  The long and short of it is that the buzz on Sports Picks dried up and now McFarlane is trying to get it going again by making the chases tougher to get and by making super chases like the no-helmet Brady.

I used to be something of a completist on the NFL line, but even now I'm being a lot pickier.  I've picked up a grand total of 5 NFL figures this year, and that's including 2 Lawrence Taylor's (one to open, one for potential auto's) 2 Tiki Barber's (one to open, one for potential auto's) and one Kevin Mawae.  I might pick up a couple of others, but the line hasn't been that exciting to me.

Can you say "A variation collectors nightmare?"

Seriously, if the variation collectors really are going to try to complete these sets, what else is going to be left for everyone else?  Either that, or Hasbro is going to bankrupt some people.

Found a brace of Mawae's over the weekend.  Looks like he'll be one of the tougher figures in the new NFL series.

Got my Varitek email today 8)

Screw McFarlane.  As cool as the Umpire is, I wouldn't buy this set on principle since the catcher is a Red Sox player.  Any other team would've been fine.

BTW, anyone been seeing these solid regional cases showing up?  I've been seeing solid cases of Tiki Barber and Lawrence Taylor around here lately.

I agree, the Cloud Car is a definite must...and one I think is do-able at retail.  It isn't huge, so it should easily fit into the $15-$20 range as an exclusive somewhere (probably Target, if anywhere).  .
15-20 ? Sorry my friend it will cost around 25 and 30. Exclusives always go for more. I mean theys no reason why the TRU's Obi and Annie's Star Fighters are so high other than the pack in and it being an exclusive. It's too bad these things just can't be general releases.

I agree.  The running trend with exclusive vehicles has been $25 - $30 per unit.  A Cloud Car would easily run the same ammount, especially since the status of the original Kenner molds appears to be dubious at best.  I don't care for the price, but the trend is your friend when it comes to predicting these things.  And the trend is that if it's an exclusive we're looking at a $25 - $30 price tag.

Still waiting for my vader.  Has anyone who ordered it through diamond received theirs yet?

Not yet.  Got Yoda, the Sandys and Grievous maquette though.  Sometimes individual items can be a little slow.  I still wouldn't trade the discount I get by ordering through Diamond for getting the thing early.

hmm i wonder why Jordan is not in NBA Legends line up yet? maybe a potential super chase  ;D

Actually my guess would be that Jordan is too expensive to get his likeness at this point.  And believe me, if they break down and pay Jordan, it'll be like the Gretzky fiasco all over again.  No one, not even in Chicago, will have a hard time picking up a Jordan figure.

That's been the party line all along on the Legends figures.  Each player's likeness is individually negotiated, and word is that Jordan wants A LOT o' money.

Feedback / Re: Bad Trader Thread
« on: October 25, 2005, 02:17 PM »
Chiming in on this issue since I have been directly involved in the situation as one of the Administrators of the New Jersey Star Wars Collectors Club.

-Both traders had a good record of trading at the NJSWCC prior to this incident.
-Communication on this trade was not evidently not clear.
-This was a trade for a MOMC variation.

-The site this transaction was coordinated through (the NJSWCC) attempted to rectify the situation after a complaint was made by Tykrazen.  Jerkytoys was uncommunicative.  Based on the lack of communication and Jerkytoys unwillingness to void the trade altogether (including both parties shipping the goods back to one another) led to this dispute and his banning from the NJSWCC.
