TV-9D9 / Re: The Clone Wars - Season Six?
« on: March 10, 2014, 07:30 PM »
that was some fantastic stuff, wierd to watch it all at once bascially. the animation was SPECTACULAR just leaps and bounds above where CW started from. Even on my lil Ipod i was blown away by how it all looked. stories were good a lil disappointing that the last season ended with Clovis Arc and Jar Jar Arcs, but nothing that could've been anticipated i suppose, who knew this would've been the last of it all. And don't get me wrong both Arcs were good just rather have seen Ahsoka, Rex, Boba, Maul epsiodes. I loved the episodes, very interesting how much Yoda knew, and brings up a lot of questions. Like how does Yoda teach Obi how to retain identity after death after all Yoda had to go through to learn it. Makes me wonder if Yoda actually has the ability to retain Obi's prescence for him. And what was that about Skywalker at the end almost like it was thrown in there just to make it sound like ROTJ. I didn't get that. Hope i'm not throwing any spoilers out there.

It really was bittersweet. When CW started I took my lil girl with me to see it in theater and now here she is not so lil (14 years old in Apr) and CW is over. Kinda sad, cuz it really didn't feel like it was "over" cuz there wasn't really an ending, better then nothing though, but i wish they could've finished it properly.

this is starting to sound an awful lot like that SW short story where an IG-88 incarnation plugged into DS 2 and 'became' the DS.  ::)

just wanted to share lil experience with y'all. i had watched it earlier in the day then watched it again w/my wife n kid on dvr and totally had both of them going that Carl was going to get bit when zombie had him by the boot. awwwww  ;)  had to keep it together not to laugh but needless to say i got smacked on the leg a couple times for getting them all scared about it.

anyway episode was kinda what was expected nothing dramatic was really going to happen although i thot we'd see more of rest of grp or at least a hint. so i guess the disappointment was really that there wasn't too much to expect. and probably nothing really for rest of the season if there is only like 7 more to go, it'll mostly be about who survived and how/if they meet up. the only thing i can think that'll be climactic/dramatic is confirmation of Judith death, finding Carol alive and well and her rejoining grp. after hershel death i don't think we'll see anymore major cast member deaths.

oh ya also didn't think we'd see zombie hershel head even though i knew it'd have to be there in the field somewhere didn't think we'd see cuz of the way the grp scattered. i figured head would suffer eternity of snapping jaw at nothing.

wow heck ya that a fantastic amount of stuff, to me this is what made SW & Disney such a perfect fit all that stuff was released before big D bought SW, so i can't wait to see what else comes from them.

Does anyone actually think this crap through when writing a script?

No.  They just think the average person is a dumbass that love knockers, ass, and explosions on the big screen.

my kinda people. LOL

Here's a thought ... maybe the "20-something female actress who is either of mixed race or black" IS Ahsoka?   :o

I like Scott's comments on Obi-Wan "waiting to train" Luke.  What exactly was the plan?  I hadn't considered it before, but was Obi-Wan really waiting around to train Luke or was he just watching over him?  If Ben planned to train him, you'd think he would have started sooner - certainly that's what Yoda would have preferred.  If they really thought Luke (or Leia) had a chance of defeating Vader or the Emperor, then why not start sooner?  Heck, Yoda could have taken either of the twins with him to Dagobah to start training after birth.

My take was that Obi-Wan was merely sent to Tatooine with Luke to watch over him.  They (Obi and Yoda) didn't have any plans to stop the Empire - probably feeling defeated and that they would leave it to the rebellion at that point.  There's no evidence that they were planning to do anything to stop the Empire, including training Luke or Leia.  If they did, why not start sooner?  Why not stay in contact with the rebellion?   Luke was hoping to zip off to the academy and wouldn't have even run into Ben had his uncle let him go.

I think the "plan" was simply to keep the children away from Vader to protect them and let the rebellion run it's course.  When Luke encounters Ben, he then changes his plan and decides to train Luke.  Maybe he could sense the rebellion faltering at that point or sensed the death of Beru & Owen, knowing Luke would need some direction in his life.  Maybe it was just the force calling out to him or off screen guidance from Qui Gon when the opportunity to shepherd Luke presented itself, but I don't think Obi's plan was to sit back all those years, then jump into the training when Luke reached a certain age.

Personally I think think Yoda/Obi/Jinn basically was leaving it up to the Force to let them know when the time was right to start training. Basically sitting back and waiting till the opportunity came to them and not them taking it upon themselves. Logically it'd seem wiser to start training both of them sooner rather then later, cuz there is a LOT of what if's. Like Luke dying in Empire or falling to the darkside leaving only 1 untrained Leia, and Yoda already at deaths door step cuz of old age and Obi as force ghost. Be pretty hard to start from scratch. Seems like too much risk but thats why i think they're relying on something BIGGER then just themselves to determine what to do. I think that obi/yoda open up  themselves to a bigger part of the force possibly with Jinn's help.

to me the whole disection of rat tells us that the rat man is Bob. who else besides Hershell, or the of Dr. that died from flu would be dissecting things. and besides his own admission of being with 2 other groups that have perished (except himself) possibly those other groups also died because of his feeding rats to zombies. the only question then is why. cuz he would also be at risk if zombies raid the encampments.

there were some hints both in the show and on TD about it playing out with Beth and Daryl, maybe not a relationship but there being something between them. think back to when Daryl broke the news to Beth about her BF dying in the Big Lots. And now the 2 of them run off together.

I would think that after the whole farm thing and how that played out, and after the Govners first invasion there would be a backup/bug out plan and where to go if things go really bad again. after all there was 6 months of relative peace for them to start thinking/planning for such. and the walkers had already broken thru the fences once before, so it wouldn't take a Govners invasion force to make them lose the prison.

i think Carol will find girls and Tyreese. and carol/tyreese will make nice n settle their differences.
Judith is with them, and because of carol taking care of the judith it will force rick to let her back in with the group when they all meet up again.

someone is going to meet up with whatever group killed the other group that had those supplies that was shown in the Govner arc.

And i agree with Jesse the military girl Tara's GF is hot

loved it loved it loved it
especially head decap by wire and head stomp  >:D

my only complaint is that in the beginning of the episode the Merle compilation in the beginning gave it away that he was going to die, call it a tremor in the Force but i knew last nights episode would be his last once i saw that and kinda killed it for me.
