Not sure if this is the right place for this but does anyone follow Kickstarter?  I was looking today and saw they raised over $2 million dollars in one day to fund a Veronica Mars movie.

So on to the previews for next week... Anyone think the "shooter" in the preview for next week is Morgan from Season 1?  He's got to come back sometime??
Good call. At first I thought it would be a little too convenient for them to run into him on a supply run - but it makes a lot more sense considering they went back to Rick's ground zero.

Busy week this week... I just now had time to watch this episode. I really liked it, glad I nailed the Morgan call.  :)

Still, I was disappointed that Rick didn't convince him to come back with him. Rick needs another confidant.

I wasn't sure where else to post this, but when my wife was looking up the video to Gotye's 'Somebody I used to know', I happened to notice this gem as a suggestion:

'The Star Wars that I used to Know' parody song.

My favorite lyric, 'Have your friends direct your movies and they'll turn out better!'

That was awesome!

Hmmm.  I was thinking of picking up the Lannister version, but I wanted to find out if there was a Stark or Baratheon version first.  But now I may just get the regular Blu Ray / DVD / Digital copy version.

I got my Lanister version today.  I'm downloading the digi copy to my iTunes as we speak.

Season 1 was either Stark or Targarean.  Only Lanister or Greyjoy for Season 2 (as best as I can tell).

Was sort of a filler episode. But I'm happy to see Rick coming back from crazytown. I had forgotten that Andrea had no idea that Shane was dead. She's been away from the crew for so long.

I forgot it came out this week. I went to best buy and all the Lanister versions were sold out. They only had 5-6 Greyjoys. I bought the Greyjoys but went home and ordered the Lanister one. I will return the Greyjoys when I get it.

I'm pretty sure they are Best Buy Exclusives. For Season 1 it was the Stark or Tagarean(sp) sigils. I chose Stark last year.

I'm happy this year is a Blu-ray/DVD/ digital combo.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6 Inch Figures?
« on: February 11, 2013, 11:17 AM »
I gave up collecting 3.75" several years ago... my interest wained and it felt like a chore to collect them all.  I didn't have a place to display them so they just sat in tubes in my basement.

These 6" figures intrigue me.  If its a small line with only a limited number of figures, I could keep up.  The pictures I've seen so far make the figures look pretty amazing.  I may jump into this line.  Especially if the figures actually retail for less than $20.

I'd seen images of Ward Zombie online, but wasn't sure if you'd be able to point him out in the show.  Didn't know he'd get his own solo moment like that.

Was he the one that stuck his head through the "fence" at Woodbury?  I thought it might have been him given the "solo" moment.

I enjoyed the show last night quite a bit.  The first segment was riveting.  I did think it was awfully convenient that Darryl was able to get his bow back so easily! I hope crazy-Rick comes around and starts this reported bromance with Tyresse.  Tyresse looks like he'd be a good character for the show/group.

Having said all that (and I haven't read the graphic novels at all), I hope that the writers are able to turn some of the story back into struggling to survive against the Zombies... I'm less interested in a fued between Rick's group and the Govenah.  Maybe, I'm in the minority about this.

I've been catching bits and pieces of the Walking Dead marathon on AMC today. Getting pretty excited for the mid-season premiere.

Unrelated, I was at Barnes and Noble tonight and saw some of the walking dead Graphic Novels. I had no idea they were black and white only illustrations. I just assumed they were in color.

Just got back from a family vacation at Walt Disney World. Our family really enjoyed the new Star Tours.  We rode four times and got four different tours.

but I don't like the insertion of Radagast, the Elf-Witch, and the Necromancer. Those characters only merited fleeting references in the books. (Well, Radagast and the Necromancer anyway) To say nothing of whatever Evangeline Lilly is supposed to be doing there.

The Necromancer is an important part of the Lord of the Rings.  He's made in passing reference in the Hobbit for sure, but his inclusion in the movies will be the second link to the LOTR trilogy (aside from the One Ring).  The story of the necromancer is included in the appendices of the LOTR books as I recall.

I was happy to see Radagast fleshed out... not sure if I love how PJ actually fleshed him out though.   ;)

Interesting article on how JRR Tolkien revised the Hobbit through the years, tinkering with the story...

Wait... are they screening a non-3D 48FPS version someplace?  I thought all the 2D showings were 24FPS.
I'm in Ireland. Now, I'm also assuming I was seeing this in 48fps because it looked "off" to me. However, I never confirmed this.
