May Update:

Target - 3x RotS Battle Arenas (yes, I broke down and bought them  :-[)
Target - 7x RotS Deluxe Figures (1x each wave 2 and 3/4 of wave 3)
Target - 3x RotS Basic Figures (2x Dark Wookiee and 1x #2 Anakin Variant)

Luckily most everything was price-adjusted during Target's sale the week of the movie saving me about $18.   :)

January 2005 Total:   $191.51 with tax/shipping
February 2005 Total:   $30.28 with tax/shipping
March 2005 Total:   $96.29 with tax/shipping
April 2005 Total:   $1041.60 with tax/shipping
May 2005 Total:   $138.01 with tax/shipping

Star Wars: $1402.02
Other:  $95.67

Total = $1497.69

Whew.   :)   Managed to keep things under control in May.  Only grabbed the newest stuff and was able to cool off on Army Building to keep the month around $100 where it belongs.

edit: Of course, after I wrote this, I found 3/4 of Deluxe wave 3 - another $32 out the door in May.

Detroit or Cleveland?

Tigers vs. Indians = Tigers (I hate the Indians more  >:()
Pistons vs. Cavs = Pistons (Until King James wins a title, no love for the Cavs)
Lions vs. Browns = draw
Red Wings v. nothing = Red Wings

I guess Cleveland is worse - no NHL!  Hmmm.. but since there is no NHL anywhere, I guess that doesn't matter.

Plus, Detroit makes all those cars.  I like my car... of course it was built in TN, not Detroit.   :-\

Hmmm... this is harder than I thought.  I guess I'll pass for now and them come back to it later once I have time to weigh all the pros and cons.

Since SW Weekends have started and we haven't seen or heard anything, I'm going to assume that the new ST Droids were a no show for the event...  :(

Everyone have one of these?

If not, you might want to check out the JediDefender Give Away Page for the details on how you can enter to win one!   ;)

I just hate that my favorite jedi alien - Plo Koon got punked out like that  :'(. But now that we've sen him pilot a starfighter, hopefully we'll get one for him :)

Just an FYI, but there are definately plans for Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter in toy form this summer.  ;)

Here's a picture from EE:

Zombies on Alias? Damn... I've got the last like 10 episodes of Alias in my tivo... I really need to sit down this weekend and have a little Alias marathon to catch up.

Not to take this off-topic, but yeah - the zombies/infected on Alias were pretty cool.  It was a great episode, I love the Rimbaldi stuff!

Alias actually had me more pissed w/ its cliffhanger then Lost did.

No kidding!   Now THAT was a cliffhanger... "My name's not Micheal Vaughn..."  *CRASH*

On the subject of lost, I thought it was a GREAT episode.  I didn't really want too many questions answered because I want to be able to enjoy this show next year too.

I think they are doing a great job of giving you a little and then taking something back or adding something new.   :)

I will admit of course, that I wanted more out of the episode, but isn't it a classic show-biz line to "always leave them wanting more"?

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Prequel to a Prequel?
« on: May 26, 2005, 11:53 AM »
Personally, I think it would be hilarious for Lucas to constantly say he has no plans to do 7-8-9 and then turn around and do an episode -2, -1, 0 prequel-prequel Trilogy that focuses on Palpatine and how he got his Sith powers.

Episode 0 could give us the long-awaited birth of Maul!    ::)

Plus with a prequel-prequel trilogy, Lucas can start saying stuff like, "oh no - this whole saga wasn't about Vader/Anakin, it was always meant to be about Palpatine..." and "what I meant by last SW movie was that Vader's SW Story would be over".   :P

Um... I'm gonna vote No to proposition "Make a prequel-prequel movie" - bad idea, George.   ;)

A Jedi v. Sith movie set 88 years before TPM flies in the face of the "The Sith have been extinct for a millenia" line from episode 1.  The whole thing would end up being lame...

Pilots seem to have this short window of popularity.  The OTC TIE Pilot (and his Saga incarnation) both were the same way.  THey came out, moved, then sat but dwindled slowly/steadily.

Yeah, I think you are right, Jesse.  As long as there is something for them to fly (ARC-170, Gunship), they will dwindle over time like the TIE Pilots did.  I think the Army Builders are ignoring this guy in favor of spending their $$$ on #41 Clones or other figures, but over time I think they will sell.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: How big is your army?
« on: May 26, 2005, 11:34 AM »
Here's the current state of my "Armies" -

1x Preview Wookiee Warrior
1x III-4   Super Battle Droid
4x III-6   Clone Trooper
1x III-8   Grevious's Bodyguard
1x III-17   Battle Droid
2x III-23   Royal Guard (Blue)
2x III-23   Royal Guard (Red)
2x III-33   Clone Commander
3x III-34   Clone Pilot
2x III-38   AT-TE Gunner
2x III-41   Clone Trooper
1x III-42   Neimoidian Warrior
1x III-43   Wookiee Warrior (Tan)
1x III-43   Wookiee Warrior (Brown)
1x III-44   Destroyer Droid
2x Target   Clone Trooper

I use the term "armies" loosely, because I am really trying to behave myself this time and not end up with dozens of troopers...  I just can't afford to keep up the way I used to army-build. :-\

Got it:

I see he has this in there:

Which means it's pretty much just a guess on his part...

Watto's Junk Yard / The Will Ferrell Appreciation Society

So, before the RotS hype, I made it out to the theaters to see "Kicking and Screaming".

Plenty of funny to go around.  Granted, it wasn't a comedic masterpeice, but it did offer up a few funny parts, such as the first trip to the Coffee shop and the Tetherball game between Duvall and Ferrell.

Anyone else see this one?

Anyone else looking forward to "Bewitched"?  Not sure how I feel about the premise of the movie, but it does sound funny at least with lots of opportunity for Ferrell to fall down a lot.
