Watto's Junk Yard / Disney Cruise Lines and Star Wars
« on: April 21, 2015, 10:21 AM »
You've all heard that Disney is doing Star Wars Day at Sea onboard the Disney Fantasy, right?

Well today, Disney showed off some of the new experiences coming to the Disney Dream:

"In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids are in for an out-of-this-galaxy experience in a newly themed play, Star Wars: Millennium Falcon, inspired by the spacecraft from the legendary saga."

Disney does such an amazing job with the Oceaneer Club and that Falcon set-up is amazing play area for kids.  We've gone on two Disney cruises and the kids always have a blast at Oceaneer Club.  The last cruise we went on (Disney Magic) had an Avengers Academy set-up where they got to meet "Iron Man" and "Captain America" and take an avengers training session.

Yeah, I'll be buying this.

My boys loved the Hasbro Interactive R2-D2 back in the day... in fact my 3-year old loves him now.  Carries n conversations with him as he beeps and whistles at her.  She will definitely love BB-8. :)

Ugly game, but the crowd at the MTS is everything it was hyped to be - chanting, cheering, drunk... ;)

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Celebration Anaheim 2015
« on: April 20, 2015, 04:14 PM »
Yeah, other licensees seemed to be into hinting at least what was coming for Ep7, Hasbro just stuck to the "we'll have something for everyone" type non-comment.

Then again, if they are killing collector 3.75" in favor of just 5POA 3.75" and collector 6", I can see why they'd like to keep that as quiet as possible for as long as possible.  :-X

Would have been nice if they could have at least tossed a Kylo/Poe/Finn/Rey prototype in the case to go along with that 6" Ahsoka that won't be released for a year.

In that case - thank you for taking one for the team, Justin!  ;D

Who was the fourth name Arya kept reciting?

Meryn Trant.  D-bag Kingsguard Knight.  She blames him for the death of her dancing master - Syrio.

I'm sure fans were happy to see Bronn again too. He and Jamie are gonna be like Tango and Cash, medieval style!

I was excited to see that too because it's all-new, not from the books stuff.  Can't wait to see where they take that.  Hoping it's not just them replacing book characters on a particular mission but will actually be something new/different.

Not sure I followed why the sudden need to kill Brienne at the tavern. Just didn't want her following them?

Probably didn't want her running around telling everyone "Littlefinger's got Sansa!!"  Sansa is still suspected for her part in Joffrey's death after all... probably not good for Littlefinger if folks found out he's harboring her.

I always wanted more of the Disney Droids (I only have two of the 25 domes :(), but somehow these feel more like of a WANT/NEED and not "nice to have" like the last series because at least some of them are actual character droids from the movies.  :-\

I'd agree that odds are better than 50/50 on one of them showing up...  they did cast a female as the lead.

Other Toy Lines / Re: ReAction Lines
« on: April 17, 2015, 11:55 AM »
A selection of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ReAction figures (Buffy, Willow, Gentleman, Oz, Spyke, Angel, ) are today's Daily Deal at EE - just $8.00 each.

Looking at the pic again today (last night was info overload), are a lot of these new BADs existing characters?

The one in the center looks an awful lot like the cancelled R8-B7?

Another looks a little bit like R5-K6 from Scramble on Yavin set.

Another one looks like R3-S6 aka Goldie from the Clone Wars.

Gunjap has a nice recap of all the Movie Realization updates from yesterday, including a look at the Samurai ERG slide...

Was there any information on when these would be hitting the parks?

According to the panel, this week.  Some sites were even saying the panel said "today" (meaning yesterday of course).

Haven't seen any reports of people buying them yet though...

Of course, as soon as I type that - there are pics of people with the new droids

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I can't help but think about how hard this movie is going to crash and burn and destroy WB/DC's hopes of even being on the same level as Disney/Marvel.

Maybe it was because of the trailer quality or maybe it was the sad fact that it came out on the same day as the TFA trailer, but the trailer was lame.

Teases of BB-8, Han and Chewie are AWESOME.  Teases of yet another guy trying to wear the bat-suit with a mean "batman voice" and more "I'm scared of Superman" are boring.
