Just bumping this guy back up to the top...

Still not sure about the FF movie, but I am DEFINITELY getting excited for the Elektra movie in January... should be a nice Birthday present for me to go see Ms. Garner in a leather outfit!   ;)

Mmmmm....

In closing, I'd just like to say that the Twins suck.

In closing, I'd just like to say that JediMAC is mean.   >:(

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Best and Worst of 2004
« on: December 9, 2004, 05:05 PM »
Here are my votes:

Best VOTC:  Chewbacca - the Stormie was nice, but Chewie is the best!
Best OTC:    Dagobah Luke - Handstanding was a GREAT pose for him
Best Saga:   General Madine - Great articulation, very nice pose.  J'Quille is second...

Worst VOTC:  C-3PO - R2 is a close second though
Worst OTC:    TRU Jedi Circle of Suck - all 4 of these sets were pretty sad attempts (yet I bought them all  :()
Worst Saga:   Hoth Rebel Trooper - Should have been much nicer, he had a bad stance and sucky articulation

Best Vehicle:  OTC Falcon - I really liked the small improvements they made to this ship
Worst Vehicle:  OTC X-Wing - what a waste to re-release this version, especially with the other still out at TRU

"Save me, Jeebus!"

I laughed so hard when I heard that on the news last night.   :-X

Poor fella stripped down and got his dingleballs chomped.  I guess that'll teach him not to hit a cop, ESPECIALLY a K-9 officer.   :-\

Radke signs two-year deal

Whew!   ;D

Looks good on keeping Koskie too.  Now, all the Twins have to do is go get this guy back since the Phillies passed on him by not offering arbitration:

Can you imagine a Santana/Radke/Milton/Lohse/Mays rotation next year?!?  That's a huge L-R-L wallop!

It would make me so happy I could  :'(.  Get on it Terry Ryan!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What posters do you have hanging up??
« on: December 7, 2004, 05:13 PM »
I have only one poster hanging in my garage...

I needed a new cover for the dart-board.   :P

You get bonus points for hitting the Laker French-Fry (instead of the bullseye).

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Episode III line....April 2nd, 2005
« on: December 7, 2004, 04:35 PM »
from the cover of the ROTS tpb coming out next year from Dark Horse, and it looks as if some of the clonetroopers may be sporting pauldrons similar to the sandtroopers.

I think those are just ARC Troopers... remember they have the pauldrons too.   :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions Assortment"...
« on: December 7, 2004, 04:31 PM »
I have NO faith in this line being ANYTHING other than some nifty packaged re-hash 3-packs.   :-\

Watch, it will be fuill of things like:

* Kamino Jango / Saga Lilttle Boba / Carkoon Fett
* Ep1 Palpy / Ep2 Palpy / Flashback Emperor
* Ep1 Tatooine Ani / Anakin Jedi Ep2 / Vader Ep3
* Ep1 Jedi Duel Obi / Ep3 Obi-Wan / PotJ Ben

I expect NOTHING good to come of this line.  Seriously.

A wise man once said, "The future is filled with cheap re-hashes" and until I see something to prove otherwise, I'm taking the grumpy, bitter, jaded route on this one.

I'm going to say that this line will be jam-packed full of re-hashes.  In fact, just to really tick us off, it may well be the worst-case scenario that we will have to buy these $20 3-pack monstrosities to get one new figure along with 2 sucky repacks.

I am almost sure of it.... and it will probably be an exclusive here in the USA to boot.   >:(

Revenge of the Sith / Re: 500th commemorative figure... Vader?
« on: December 7, 2004, 04:19 PM »
I don't know what to make of this 500th Vader rumour at this point.

I guess if you leave out the re-packs from the Saga, HoF, and OTC lines, as well as offshoots like the Animated line, we might be closer to 500 than you think.

BUT, I guess I just think that Hasbro want's to make the Vader during a Vader heavy year and they will cheat the numbers to get what they want anyway.

JD Sports Forum! / Re: JediDefender Fantasy Football 2004
« on: December 7, 2004, 04:17 PM »
Would I have not made it because of the point total, because I just beat Nataku so head to head I would have gotten in.

From last week:
Just wanted to point out the Tie Breakers Yahoo has set up in case two teams tie in record this week:

Overall winning percentage.

Fantasy points scored.

Since we had the same Win %, it would have been determined by total points, so I would have still squeaked by you (thanks to my higher point total) even if you had not lost your earlier win.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Ep3 Sneak Preview Vehicle
« on: December 7, 2004, 02:28 PM »
But I wonder if it has any landing gear, or if it just sits on the ground like that.

From Hasbro's Site:

Anakin’s Jedi Starfighter come with these great action features:
Firing missiles
Spring-open wings
Opening canopy
Retractable landing gear

:)

How good is the landing gear?  That remains to be seen I guess...

Here are my ultimate 10:

#1. Hem Dazon (Arcona) - come on!  We get EU Booger-man, but NOT an Arcona?  This farce needs to end, and we need an Arcona NOW.

#2 R5-D4 - A resculpt that I'd gladly buy.  That missile launching nightmare must be atoned for...

#3 Bom Vimdin (Advose) - Any Cantina Alien is a good choice by me.

#4 Owen Lars - A nice non-crappy Owen to go with Beru would be sweet and make up for the finger-pointin' Cinema Scene wreck.

#5 Ice Cream Maker Guy - The only ESB to make the list.  Shows off how sucky the ESB list of 10 was I guess...  :P

#6 Chief Chirpa/Lumat - I'd rather have Wumpus the Ewok, but this is a good start...

#7 Romba/Warok - Again, I'd rather have Wumpus the Ewok, but this is a good start...

#8 Hermi Odle - Ephant Mon needs a ridiculously over-sized figure to join him in Jaba's Palace.

#9 Yarna D'al Gargan - Who wouldn't want this fat, creepy dancer?   :-\

#10 Luke Skywalker (Endor) - We need the vOTC version of Jedi Luke with Endor Poncho and helmet!
