May 4th Promo Minifigure Revealed

First Order Heavy Armor Stormtrooper, free with $50 purchase at LEGO Stores and shop.lego.com. I'm reading that the armor is a different printing than the one in the First Order battle pack out right now.

Some highlights from various reviews:

Quote
As with Man of Steel and The Watchmen (no ludicrous sex scenes in this jam, at least), this movie is relentlessly grim and gritty and resolutely No Fun Whatsoever, every line intoned with Desdemonian gravitas, every falling bullet casing memorialized with its own slow-mo funereal aria. (At one point, the Army fires a big-ass cannon, and that shell also falls to the ground in super-slow motion.)

An even less charitable way to put it is that a clearly excited 7- or 8-year-old kid sitting in front of me busted out crying and had to be whisked out of the theater by his father within the first five minutes....I felt really terrible for that kid immediately, and was mildly envious of him two hours and 25 minutes later.

This sort of nonsense nonetheless qualifies as an early highlight; the most suspenseful part of the first half of this movie was when I was trying to open my giant bag of Reese’s Pieces without detection. (No spoilers.)

Not-Cera as Luthor is getting a bashing in reviews too. This movie should be a win-win either way, if it's good it's good, or it will be one of those amusing trainwrecks.

Yep, really no reason to buy exclusive now unless you really love the packaging. The Target content will be posted to YouTube anyway.

Honestly kind of a ripoff... make all the bonus content available on disc or don't do it at all. I miss the days where all of the discs were the same and all you had to figure out was what store you wanted to get a preorder bonus from.

Temple of Doom has grown on me as I've gotten older, after initially disliking it. Really the only bad part is Mrs. Spielberg.

Looking back, I think KotCS had some decent ideas, but everything decent was overshadowed by terrible characters and way too much CGI.

Found and purchased Han and FN-2187 at Target on the way home from work. Oddly enough, they were the only 6 inch figures on the pegs (besides the Poe/TR-8R set).

Definitely going to see it, but I hope it doesn't follow the reboot/sequel formula of the last decade and isn't just a remake of Raiders with new characters.

Well consider me disappointed in this whole set. We knew Phasma was coming, but honestly I'm perfectly fine with the 5POA version considering all she does is type on a keyboard. Han is just disappointing, from the outfit he wore for a grand total of 30 seconds to the brown hair. Seriously, that's 3 figures now where Hasbro has refused to paint Han's hair the correct color. What's the deal? And I agree that Leia is not a figure that needs to be SA at all, especially in her 30 second outfit.

Pulled the trigger on the Sandcrawler and Slave 1 as a birthday present to myself.  Hoping to still convince my wife that the Ewok Village and UCS TIE Fighter would make great gifts from her and the boys!  Fingers crossed...

The Ewok Village is an amazing set... a great display piece AND playset, which is kind of a rarity in sets that large.

Yeah I was confused on that at first. I thought they were attacking Negan's main stronghold, which was depicted much different in the comics.

They are setting up for several deaths with all of this love going on...

Over the weekend I snagged a Battlefront Empire battle pack and just now I redeemed a year's worth of VIP Points on the Sandcrawler for the x2 VIP points promo.

Getting the Sandcrawler was a hassle though. Went to the LEGO Store after work today, after sitting in an hour of traffic, and I get there and... no Sandcrawler sets. Keep in mind this set has always been in stock for the last 2 years. Whatever, I can order it online... sold out there, too! They're accepting backorders though, so I went ahead and paid for my set.

Now I'm caught up to the first wave of TFA sets from the fall... waiting on a lot of those overpriced sets to go on clearance.

Man, whoever runs StarWars.com is on POINT. Glad to have all of this information in one place.

Sounds like Target is the place to buy.
