Other Collectibles / Re: Revoltech Star Wars Figures

Got my Revo R2 from HLJ last week (you may have seen the pic I tweeted to JD, Yakface and Jesse James over Twitter), and had a few minutes to fool around with him over the weekend.

I'd probably say it's the worst of the four Revoltech Star Wars figures released so far, mainly due to the limited articulation. You can rotate the head and legs, and the "feet" have Revo style ball joints, but so far I've had a tough time adjusting the joints so you can pose them perfectly (with the other figures you can pull the joints apart to repurpose the ball joints, but not so much with R2). The extra wheeled feet are a cool addition for if you want to have a rolling R2, but you can also pose him in the "rolling" position with the normal feet ala a Hasbro fig.

One feature I LOVE is that you can turn the knob/hologram projector on his face and there's a wheel inside the dome that will cause R2's "mouth" light to change from red to blue.

Unfortunately I don't have the Hasbro Black Series R2 to compare it to, but it would have been cool for Revo R2 to have a few gadgets, or maybe a hologram Leia. That's really my main complaint, it's a fine looking figure, and the paint apps are great, but nothing worth going out of the way to get.

I'd rank the Revo Star Wars figures (what we have so far) as follows:

1. C-3PO
2. Stormtrooper
3. Vader
4. R2

If anyone wants pics, let me know, I've been super busy as of late but can probably spend an evening snapping some detailed pics if anyone wants them.

These are apparently on sale at Target this week. I think the ad said $15.99 each. Good deal if you must have them.

I'll take one too, and add me to the list of people who will throw in a little extra as thanks. You rock Phruby! :)

Now I can finally tell Michael Cera and Jesse Eisenberg apart!

Intriguing list. At $8 a pop, I can't see us getting purely 5POA figures in the basic line. There should at least be something extra, elbows, knees, etc. Especially if the $30 vehicle line is what we used to get for $20. If the "Deluxe Vehicle" line is anything like that line from a few years ago where we got that Republic Drop Pod, those were awesome, and I'm pumped, especially since that would be great for Kira's ice cream bar speeder we see in the teaser.

The most exciting thing to me, though, is the return of Micro Machines! I hope they make some from all of the movies because I'd go all in.

Man, one episode left... where has the season gone? Seeing a lot of hate for this season online but I've loved it outside of the stupid hospital arc.

So many questions... what is Nicholas going to do with Rick's blender gun? What's up with the Wolves? Where does Sasha factor in? Will Carl avoid the friend zone?

One weird thing I noticed, the episode takes place over like 2 or 3 days. Why didn't Deanna interview Eugene or Glenn about what happened? Their stories would sync up for the most part. That's also plenty of time for Maggie to warn Rick and co about what Gabriel did, maybe have somebody go rough his worthless ass up.

Biggest issue with the episode was the naked chick Daryl and Aaron found tied to the tree. Same issue Jesse James (I think) pointed out with the zombie that bit Herschel's ankle in season 3; if a zombie isn't snarling or moving, it's dead. They don't "sleep." It should have been up and moving the second they approached it.

Yeah that's an instant preorder.

My Revo R2-D2 came in stock at HLJ. Should have it next week.

Oooh, that would be awesome. I'll look that up later. Until then, the defective Stormie will just have to be a "laying in pain because his leg was chopped off" Stormtrooper.

So that Stormtrooper I ordered... it had two left thighs. :(

Ordered a second one because you can't exactly return them, and it got here today. It isn't defective! I'll put up a quick comparison pic later.

If anyone out there reading this has a Revo Stormtrooper with two right thighs, let me know if you want to trade a right for a left.  :)

So Leia is dropped from waves 7 AND 8 now, YakFace is reporting. I'll still order a case of Wave 8, but there's very little from 7 that I want now.

Gah, the Gabriel character is so frustrating. This is the same guy who locked his entire congregation out of his church when everything hit the fan, right? Shouldn't he busy asking for a tetanus booster from stepping on that nail?

Been digging the last few episodes, actually. Great character development. Sad to see Noah go, but it was a gruesome death. Makes Beth's death feel even more pointless though. I was wondering if there would be any consequence at the group letting Deeanna's son die, and after all of the Carol/Noah stuff, now I know. The Ricktatorship showdown should be good. Eugene's balls growing at Grinch-like levels on Christmas Day was awesome, as was Abraham going postal while those worthless goofs just stood there watching. Motherdick!

Blew my mind when they pointed out on TD that Carl's fence jumping chick was the same girl from Too Many Cooks.

Next up for me: Ewok Village during Double VIP Points next month

Finally scratched that one off the list this afternoon at the local LEGO Store. Double VIP Points started this weekend and last until the end of the month, and I had $50 built up from previous purchases throughout last year. So I got the set for $200, and got another $20 in VIP rewards that I'll save for either the Slave I or Sandcrawler.

Oh, and if anyone hasn't snagged the Ewok Village yet, the cashier said he had heard rumors of a retirement in the near future...

I haven't bought the house yet either, but that Kwik E Mart is tempting. Hard to gather the money when there are multiple large Star Wars sets every year. Love that they included the secret vegan garden on the roof. I appreciate the Jasper reference too, but that really should have been a minifigure instead of a sticker.

The minifigs though, I'm all in. Simpsons Series 1 is the only minifigure set I've completed 100% so I need them all.
