Watto's Junk Yard / Re: X Box Live
« on: May 13, 2005, 11:29 PM »
Is it because of the game selection, or the behavior of the people on the service? Or something else?

Well first of all, it's the cost. Why pay for what I can do for free on a computer or on PS2? The game selection is good, but most, if not all, of the players are idiotic 12 year olds who cheat and scream into the microphone. I can't really explain why I dislike it, it just isn't my cup of tea. I'd much rather play SOCOM online on PS2 instead of Xbox Live.

Excellent, it lays down. All the pics I've seen show it standing up, and I wouldn't be able to store it on my entertainment center like that.

They're out of the Clones, but they still have Nemoidians and Wookiees. Hopefully they restock quickly. I do kinda wish they'd put limits on some things, like army builders (specifically the #41 Clone).

Is the Playstation 3 expected to be released this year as well?

November 2006 is the estimated release date, same with the Nintendo Revolution.

One thing I like about the 360 (Xenon would have been a better name...) is that the controllers will be wireless. That's cool, IMO. I've heard rumors about backwards compatibility, but they haven't been confirmed yet. They better be true.

Me, I'll be waiting for the price to decrease, just as I'm doing with the new handheld systems.

Grievous and AnaVader sell well around here (as does Palpidious, to a lesser extent), leaving us stuck with pegs and pegs of that crappy Obi-Wan. I just wish someone would buy them all and donate them to Toys for Tots or something.

I've grown to despise Xbox Live. And I never use it. I'm going to cancel my account before they charge me for another year of service. But any shooting games on there are good I suppose.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Reference/ Background Thread

THANK YOU! These will help once I start shooting for my photonovel (which is soon hopefully, damn school!)

Can anyone get pics of Tatooine, specifically Beggars Canyon?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Do You "Enter to Win"?

I rarely enter those types of contests. I usually only get coke from bottle caps, though I did get a Frutopia hat once from a bottle cap contest.

I enter SW online contests for ***** and giggles, I never expect to win. Though one time I won a C3 Vader from some website. What was its name... :-*

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Best Stormtrooper ????

There's still some available online, but they run around $15-$20 each. That's how I got all of my ROTJ figures, as they never showed up in stores here, at least to my knowledge.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Greivous' Cough?

He had no chance. He kidnapped Palpatine, and then Anakin and Obi flew off to battle for the opening crawl of ROTS!

But after that, he escapes to Utapau... he could have gotten repaired there, as he most likely has a few days before Kenobi finds him.

I don't care for him at all, I think it was stupid to create this extra character when Dooku could have filled the same role.  The coughing thing is annoying as well

He was created to be the walking, talking action figure of the movie. See Darth Maul and Jango Fett.

And I've never heard about his cough before. I guess I'll wait and see the film, but it sounds kinda stupid. Wouldn't he fix/repair himself to where he didn't cough?

Grabbed the first TRU Lego mini, but haven't been back to get the new ARC yet.  Maybe today...

Same here. I'll try and get there next week, but if not, I'll trade/buy one from the boards.

I don't know if it's the paint, the pics, or what, but those look awfully bootlegged. I think I'll pass on them like I did with the CW ones (which I never even saw anyways).

Has anyone mentioned James Earl Jones in "Field of Dreams" and "Lion King"?
