The Force Awakens / Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts
« on: July 9, 2016, 04:36 PM »
Meijers here has Jungle assortment at $3.99 and space/whatever assortment at $5.99 clearance. Means, if you want Sarko Plank and Atsy you gotta pay two bucks more. (Makes no sense to me, but whatever)

Most of the $3.99 bunch were Resistance Troopers, Goss Toowers, Hux, Guavan Enforcer, that blue droid and the much desired Constable Zuvio.

I forgot to scan Ezra, Kana and Inquistor (grand).

First Odor TIEs were $19.99.  Poe's X-Wang was more, not that cheap, just under $40, IIRC, and had security things around it. LIKE ANYONE WOULD STEAL THAT.  :D

Some other stuff on sale, but probably ends tomorrow.

I almost bought something. But I i've gotten used to not collecting at retail.

I got a Biker scout once with two right feet, double ankle holsters!

Shadow Stormtroopers with one leg longer than the other.

Juno Eclipse with two of the same calves. (I already had a good copy anyway)

I've found that if you complain, they might replace or refund, but that was a different seller, not Tunghori.

Poe's white X-Wing is $25 at wal-mart here.

Remaining regular figures were $6.50. Still more than I'd pay (at least for that peg warmer lot). BUT I'M ONE OF THE CHEAPSKATES WHO RUINED THE HOBBY. Or something.

I saw Finn again.

I don't get it, because George Takei is gay?

Does that mean Spock is gay because Zachary Quinto is?  ???

Nothing against it, Star Trek has pussyfooted around the subject for decades now. Only DS9 had a few lesbian bits, one for the Mirror Universe, the other two Trill symbiotes that currently had female hosts reconnecting in a taboo against Trill culture. TNG had an episode about a genderless society that imposes non-gender by force...not the same thing.

Darth Bane for 50 cents. No accessories  :( other than his chest armor  8).

I looked him up on ebay. Even without accessories he can sell for $20. But I'll be keeping mine, since I foolishly didn't get that set.

Rogue One / Re: Re: Rogue One Toy Rumors

Those were the Ultarama...

I had some of those back in 2000! They weren't expensive, but  they were extremely generic. Still, I was glad to have something figure-specific in the days before I was brave enough to build my own...

Thanks. I knew it was something-rama...  :D Kept thinking Build-A-Rama, but that's a site for military model dio stuff.

Currently there's one going for $17.39 loose with 3 1/2 days left to bid. MOC have sold for $30.

I remember a few rows of unsold Willrow's at toys r us.

So, I ask where were the bidders when he was everywhere? Maybe he was rare somewhere? Not around here.

Newcomers to the hobby? And willing to spend $30 on THE BEST CHARACTER EVER  ;D

Just the end result of the gradual end of Super Articulation that everything's gonna go up on the aftermarket.

What were those grey action figure displays that were stackable and space themed. IIRC, they had swappable foot pegs. Can't remember the name of them.

Some of those backgrounds never made sense. Look how close Yoda's picture is to the figures on display. He's huge. Who is standing on an  asteroid in space watching the Falcon being pursued?

Yeah, I didn't care much for that Mortis arc. I'll even say it, the Droid Squad arc was better.

Read a rumor that Episode 8 will reveal the origin of the force and it sounds soooo awful.
