Easy enough to pass on because for me not movie accurate or EU accurate. Looks like he belongs in Vader's section chearing for the Dark Lord of the Sith at a Sporting Event. Being a non-completist, I'm back on passing on figures I don't want or that I cannot justify the cost on.

HA! BlackDog this made me laugh out loud.

You're right, it looks like you should push that base and it will say in Temura's voice "Vader, Vader, He's Our Man, If He Can't Kill Him, No One Can! YEAH!"

Of course, I need two. Unlike the Shadow Stormtroopers which was an easy buy from SWShop.com today, this one is going to be a major P.I.T.A., I just know it. Now I have to hope that Matt will take pity on me again this year...

Well - I placed two orders for 5 figures each. This will give me plenty to have a squad of six, two to keep MOMC and two more for trades down the line.

I'm glad they are doing it this way.

Last two days have been pretty good...

Yesterday: Two full sets of the VTSC figures.

Today: The three Skirmish in the Senate Battlepacks I wanted and the two Demise of Grievous figures I needed.

I'm hoping these will start to show up on the East Coast this week.

I'm looking to get three of these. Two to open and one to keep MIB.

Gotta have at least two Senate pods. Perhaps if these go on clearance, I'll get more just for the shocktroopers and pods, but somehow, I doubt they'll get that far. Even the "Assault on Coruscant" battle packs from the summer didn't stick around long enough to hit clearance in my area.

Well - I already have Wave 1 on order with EE and I will be placing an order for Wave 2 with them as well. I typically get two (or more) of every figure and one always stays MOC. So while I don't need to open these, I will be happy to add these carded variations to my collection.

Am I thrilled with the prospect of buying these simply for the packaging variation?

Nope.

Will my OCD allow me to skip them?

Nope.

So there I am, stuck smack dab in the middle of mental illness.  :-\

At least this individually carded Target exclusive isn't a troop builder. Imagine if we had to be getting as many VTSC Biker Scouts AND Exclusive Target [Insert Army Builder Type, ie Clone] at the same time at $12 each?

Just wait til this summer when everyone is going to be going crazy for the Blackhole/Shadow Stormtrooper variant of the VOTC figure from SDCC. God help us all.

I'd say the best thing about these is that by creating the UGH, Hasbro has admitted that the line (during non-movie years) is aimed at collectors.  This is good because whenever Hasbro does a Q&A they say the line is aimed at kids, next time they do this we can respond by pointing to this sub-line and proving them wrong.

I'm no Hasbro basher, but they do get a bit defensive when the do public appearances.

They can and will still claim that the line is geared towards kids. Pointing at the wide variety of lines that are primarily for kids: Galactic Heroes, Force Battlers, Transformers, Attacktix, etc...

They can also make a claim that the regular 3.75" figure line are not for kids. What the UGH, VTSC & Titanium Lines do is allow them to simply say "see we're offering things for you collectors too".

There's a show I like to watch when I get home in time called "Attack of the Show" on G4 - back in February they covered Toy Fair. Now you would expect that the audience for this show would be primarily toy collectors, not kids. Well, when it came time to cover Hasbro, there was Darryl De[Retarded]Priest gushing about the "all metal" figures which are "new".

So that's my point, you corner them at a con or some other event and they will simply hold up the Titanium Figures and say "but we made these for you, collectors!" and then when the line fails (which it will if the amount of the first wave collecting dust locally here in NJ is any indication) they will point the blame at collectors and say "well, we gave collectors a chance and they didn't support the line, so that's why we have to gear Star Wars to kids, blah blah blah"

If this R2 is R2 tied to two logs so you could have two Ewoks carrying him on their shoulders - it would be a definite winner.

In fact, it need not even be a new figure, just supply the "stretcher" accessory and the "rope" to "tie" him to it.

I guess if I could 'run' speedwalk to the toy aisle in the morning(not have a job) I would be getting more from them and complain less??

How the hell do you equate "not having a job" with being at a Target at 8am or a WalMart at 7am?

I've got a damn good job, that pays me quite well, and I can hit at least one WalMart and one Target both when they open on my way up to work.

What you really should be saying is "not have a job that requires me to be on the clock before 9am"

Cody: 9 - three for myself, four for fellow collectors here in NJ, twice as a UGH variant

Scorch: 8 - three for myself, five for fellow collectors here in NJ

Utapau Clone: 16 - eight for myself, eight for fellow collectors here in NJ

Primarily everything above was seen at Target with the exception of one Scorch and one of the UGH Cody figures picked up at WalMart.

Best time to go looking is in the morning. I hit at least one WalMart and one Target every day when they open at 7AM and 8AM respectively.

Picked up a VTSC Scout, Tusken and Luke to complete the set on my way home from work tonight. Now I can send away for the Lucas Stormtrooper! ;D

What part of the country are you in? West Coast?

This figure will be available for direct order from StarWarsShop.com at some point in the future. Otherwise, this thing would be coming at us in a white mailer box. It's a gut-feeling I'm basing this on, but I'm really confused by the level of effort that Hasbro has put into this mail-away figure.

I had already planned on getting at least three sets of these:
One to keep MOMC
Two to open and send away for my sealed MOMC Lucastrooper and my opened Lucastrooper.

I also planned on getting at least two more each of the Biker Scout and Tusken Raider as part of my typical squad building efforts.

Down the road, I expect to see Han, Greedo and Luke warming the pegs and if by some chance I can pick up another set or two of those three at clearance, I'll snag them and try to send away for a few more Lucastroopers.

I'm willing to bet that if you simply include five tabs and the $5 check you'll be sent a figure.

Bump - still need the UGH Scorch and UGH Grievous, willing to trade one-for-one.

Thanks for looking.

I ordered a case as well. Works out nice since I am a good little sheep and simply want one of each for my MOC collection. No need to get a second set to open. I did the same thing with the HOF assortment in the previous Saga line.

I'm not surprised really that they did this. EP3 still seems to be doing well toy-wise. I think that's also the reason why they put the UGH with the Coruscant wave - it's the first Saga Collection wave that's focused on EP3 and at least here in NJ is selling better than any previous Saga Collection wave.

Picked up another UGH Obi-Wan Kenobi this morning. I'm doubling up where necessary so I also have a complete set of all mini-holos with the silver/pewter deco. I have at least one of each mini-holo in silver except Luke and Rebel Trooper now.
