I haven't gotten anything yet, odd...

I did get the 72 hour notice, but nothing after that. I wonder if they're doing them in waves.

(sorry for the rant, it's just the talk of animated style is really starting to bother me.)

No need to apologize Sal - I feel the same way.

I am going to be one VERY unhappy camper come February 17th if the Clone Wars figures turn out to be done in any style OTHER than the current 3.75" 'realistic' style.

I like how we refer to certain SW toys as "realistic."  ;D  Not sure what else you could call them, but that just strikes me as funny.

Yeah - it is funny, I guess what we're saying is that we'd rather have something like this:

than this:

I look at the bottom image and all I can think to myself is "my god, that design SUCKS, there's not one redeeming quality to that design from the stubby legs to the bulbous chest to the pea-sized head" - it's not really even aesthetically pleasing.

My WM wanted to sell me the '08 figs for $7.99. Since the figs weren't in the computer, they were convinced that $6.63 was the clearance price since all SW figures are on clearance for $6.63, a price increase over the previous price of $5.88.

That sucks. Did you get them for the $6.63 price Anthony?

Of course you'd have to order another Omega Squad set, but EE says they have more sets coming soon.

With regards to EE's service - I have found that it's really good. I mean, when I think about it, I outright abuse the heck out of them - I place orders and if I find the item in the store first, I cancel with EE. They never give me any hassle about canceling my orders as long as I request the order by canceled before they start to process it for shipping. That's reasonable, and of course if I want to return it after they've shipped it, I can do that too, or I could just return the items to the store I got them from with the valid receipt.

Sometimes, this method has really helped me when an assortment has shipped to brick-and-mortar stores in less than stellar numbers.

I have a friend locally who ordered Wave 8 from New Force comics - we found Wave 8 at TRU over a month and a half ago - New Force wouldn't let him cancel the two cases he pre-ordered even though he asked to cancel his order about a MONTH before New Force even got their first allocation. That's pretty crappy IMHO. How hard is it to change the setting in your shopping cart system from "Pre-order Sold Out" to "Only 2 Pre-Orders Left"?

Yeah - what is that green thing?

Please tell me that they didn't feel compelled to give Anakin his own "Pikachu"-type companion.

Is the second Evolutions version of the Sandtrooper ever coming? I thought Hasbro had been vague on that. They did say they were going to go back and offer the black pauldron TSC body again, but with the Evolutions Clone set featuring the White/Gray Pauldron Sandtrooper shipping again, I find it hard to believe that Hasbro would also package it individually.

I think clear information about the Saga Legends Line has been handled quite poorly by Hasbro. They should have posted a list with all variations and in what cases/waves figures were shipping to help us out.

I agree that it would have been great to see the repacked ones more sporadic, but at least in my area, the repacked ones are moving fairly well.  Especially the Sith set.

Yeah - the Sith Set is definitely the hardest to find in my area as well.

The Clone Set seems to be the one with the longest shelf life. Oh how things have changed!

They should have put out the waves like this:

Wave 1
Sith evo set 2
Anakin evo
Fett evo

Wave 2
Sith evo set 1
Jedi evo set
Secret Apprentice evo set

Wave 3
Clone evo set w/paint op change
Rebel Pilots evo
Obi-wan evo (it's rumored right?)

Etc...

That would have spread things out, still accomplished the deferring of costs Hasbro needed and helped prevent massive self warming.

I'm still convinced that Hasbro wanted planogram committment from Target and WalMart and to meet the deadline of the "after-the-holidays" aisle resets they rushed the repacks to the market - regardless of the negative impact on the sub-line.

I feel this way about both the Elite Corps Trooper and Commander Gree - why didn't they just do these figures like the new 2008 versions in the first place?

Now with Gree coming out with SDA (super-duper articulation) - I am sure we'll be buying all of the clones and commanders all over again, only this time with ball-jointed wrists and hips.

Why? LOL  ;D JUST SAY NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I know, I know - I should just say no.

Now if I pick up the four TAC vehicles that were repacks of TSC vehicles, I'll have a complete TAC packaged collection.

Dropping the $80 on those is going to be painful. They keep shipping so it's only a matter of time before I cave on those.

 :-\

Had to settle with the wait-list on this one.

Not any more, got notification that my wait-list order got switched over to a proper pre-order!

Now if this would just happen with the ANH Obi-Wan, I'll be all set!  ;D

Well - I knew it was going to happen...

Went into TRU this morning to be greeted by all three of the TAC packaged Evolutions re-packs.

OF COURSE I "had" to pick them all up. *sigh*

I kind of like the idea of having the figures styled in the way the first appeared. If the new Clone Wars line was done in that style I'd be happy with it, as long as they didn't re-release them in the future in the realistic style.

The problem is that is exactly what Hasbro has done (and continues to do if the Wave 3 list appears to be true).

Durge, Ventress, Dooku, Cody, Grievous, Nelvaan Anakin, Yavin Battle Anakin, Red Arc Trooper Commander - all of those characters have a realistic version and an animated version. Not to mention the fact that the Yoda we got in the animated line was translated into a realistic figure WITH the Kybuck just last year and we've continued to get figures in the realistic styled line that we never saw in the animated line: Obi-Wan w/Clone Armor (hopefully getting an improvement soon), Foul Moudamma, Roron Corrob, Voolvif Monn, Arc Heavy Gunner...

Like I said in my post below - having the new line also realistically styled allows Hasbro to re-use toolings that they already have.

I guess I should had to one of those "pros" for realistic styling that we won't be subjected to animated versions in 2008 and then in 2011 realistic versions due to the fact that the Clone Wars animated style figure line crashed and burned.

Sorry if this seems like I'm nit-picking, what about these two:

Luke from Jedi Training on Dagobah Battle Pack - I know it was a re-release of the Saga Bespin Luke figure, but I think the paint on it was different enough

and

Luke from the "I Am Your Father's Day" 2-pack - it was the Saga Bespin Luke w/a more neutral expression ROTJ Jedi Luke head.

I also don't see modern Early Bird Kit version of Tatooine Luke on your list either.
