The Vintage Collection / Re: 2020 TVC Haslab Razor Crest

I was hoping we can have it shipped for pick-up at the facility of whichever carrier will deliver them. Starting to feel uneasy this will be left on the steps, its size advertising its presence to porch pirates that happen by.  :(

I'm seriously considering taking the day off when it's scheduled for delivery. Toy Day!

They sent out an email saying you had until last Friday to change the delivery address.  I changed my address to a pick up site rather than have it sitting out in 0 degree temperatures.  I haven't done that before though, so hoping there are no issues.

I logged in last week but didn't see the 'ship to site' option when I tried to change the address for that order.

I either looked at the wrong spot or maybe the intended carrier for mine doesn't have a local facility?

When i get the shipping notice, I'll see if the carrier will allow a re-route to a local facility like FedEx does.

Can't wait until HP sends my sets. I was hoping to mod a few nice military heads I found online and swap them on the 2nd set, but they're just a tad bigger than noggins on recent figures so I'm expecting them to be too big for the RFT.

Youtuber Only One Kenobi noted how the Asian head looks a bit like Doug Chiang. Pretty cool nod if that's who the sculpt was based on. Wonder who the others are modeled after?

Very happy to get these. My two also came in a larger box with air packets. Cardback is thick though one is dinged on a corner. Will open both this weekend.

Did we really pay ~$27 for each? :o

Four of the 6 will likely be distinguishable by weight. The two BB-8-type droids will be a toss-up. Who will be the first to bring in a small digital scale?  :)

A lot of us have wondered this and I do hope it comes up on a Q&A Hasbro holds with fan sites every now and then. It just seems so wasteful.

After seeing an episode of -- I believe -- UnderCover Boss, where one of the sites was of a warehouse fulfillment center, I do think it comes down to efficiency. Product can be housed at different areas of a warehouse and different buildings. The cost of the time to consolidate items and ship them in one package likely exceeds their discounted shipping rates.  Automation requires a lot of expensive machinery and software. Even with a corp as sophisticated as Amazon, I've received split orders days apart from the same location.

I get that its more "efficient" for a company to mail out these things individually, but is it more responsible?  If I order ten times a year with an average of 5 items per order, I expect to be getting a package about every month. Ten cardboard boxes and some packing material, ten trips for the post office.  Instead, I'm getting 50 different packages, about one per week.  That's 50 boxes of cardboard laying around instead of 10 and 50 visits from the delivery guy instead of 10.  How is that good for the post office or the seller or me or anyone?  What a waste.

Its funny, I used to want companies to divide things up so I didn't have to wait so long for preorders or backordered stuff.  Now, I feel happy about grouping shipments together.  I just placed an order from BBTS using their pile of loot, so they'll hold onto my 2 instock items and send them with the 2 preorder items when they arrive in a few months.

I hear ya. But we all know responsible gets pushed aside for self-interest in the corp world, or is slow-going when they do cross paths. I do give Hasbro credit for their 12-yr path to less wasteful packaging.

I did similar to you with my BBTS order. And after staring at a stack of 12 collapsed boxes that arrived in a 3 week span, mostly for toy purchases, i had to push the laptop away for a few 'limited deals' on amazon knowing that they'd be arriving separately even if i requested they ship on my prime delivery day.

BBTS pricing for the Battlefront II ARC Trooper and the Lambent Seeker bumped up to $16.99. I'm guessing EE and BBTS instituted something akin to demand pricing.

Hope you carded collector guys have better luck than this guy did.  :-\

Does anyone else see the humor in this? A shocked 3PO dropped to his knees because of the sticker descending on him. Totally sucks for the carded collector but it artfully expresses their exasperation. The packager had to have been trolling.

As for the figure, I love how the deco turned out. That I have to put a dab of silicone (not acrylic or latex caulk) to keep the face plate and back panel from falling off, not so much.

Thanks for the pics.

First, the bitching -- $27 for this? The other 3 were only $21.

With that out of the way, oh, dang, that face sculpt is incredible.

Hope online ordering is as smooth as the first 3 boxed sets.

They're decent to good. Would've been nice if they beefed up the Ahsoka set. I'll even settle for the rock the lamp is sitting on.

Off-topic -- loving these TVC card art. I hope Hasbro has them archived and releases a book of the images.

Hmm. Now it's declared it's not funded and numbers are dropping.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro got committed sales from resellers outside of the countries this project covers.

Yup, I've been wanting a new y-wing for some time. Scaled to the TVC x-wing this would make a good Haslab item. No electronics... offer them in different deco... I'm in for a few.

Not being a 6" collector, I'm tempted to buy the rancor as a standalone display piece just for its wow factor. But with so many nice big stuff for TVC, I really need to keep my focus on the heritage line.

Prior to the announcement of the rancor, I was expecting the Haslab project to be the Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighter https://www.starwars.com/databank/the-gauntlet. I would seriously go ape**** if that was produced.
