The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Rumors

I think the unrevealed eight will be weighted toward ROTJ, but i still will like to see a new Wuher.

Has Squid Face or Bib Fortuna been in TVC? All-new sculpts would be nice. And it'll be two figs on original vintage cards that TVC cardback collectors can strike off their list.

Wasn't there a blurb that Slave Leia would never be made again? Or was that just speculation? I suppose they can call it "Heroine Leia". Heaven help the graphic designer who misspells it 'Heroin Leia".

Here's a vid of the flagship store in New Jersey.

Can't believe we're not the targeted demographic.

Stoopid kids.  >:(

Mine was just delivered in the last 30 min. Still hasn't grown on me.

When the images first hit the 'net, something looked off. Sure enough, a quick google turned up pics showing the orange and yellow are reversed in the candy.

I can't imagine this being an issue with intellectual property. Did someone go with their recollection and not do their homework? There are images of Alton Brown's homemade candy corn, which have the same color sequence as the droid. So maybe the nod the chef? Or just creative license?

And in the vastness of Google i came across... Christmas candy corn?! Yup. White, green, red. Who would've thunk?

The photo-real still doesn't make the likeness any closer to Fisher's look but it's still a great overall sculpt. I'll need to see one in person before I decide to shell out for this version.

I can't help but chuckle seeing how far technology has come from the days of the Princess Leia 2-packs.

I got my 4-pk on ebay also.

Lots of droids I hope Disney or Hasbro tackles. (pg 108 'Solo: Official Guide')

LT2 series would be perfect for build-a-droid.

I was expecting it'd be smaller and stapled at the spine, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the dimension and binding type.

Mine was left on the porch and arrived in fine shape. Too bad others received bent booklets. The envelope is made from backer board stock; and with the spine perpendicular to the length of the envelope, it's very stiff and obviously shouldn't be bent. The blame is on the carrier.

I wonder if they contacted Rick Springfield. He's like almost Steve Sansweet levels of SW collector.

Wow. Did a double take on the name. Sure enough, a youtube search confirms he's the same guy.

That is a serious collection.

And he's not just some rich dude blowing money on a passing interest. He acquired most of his figures when they first came out; rock star/actor arriving into town and then scouring the local Toys R Us.

Stephen Hawking, 76

Stephen Hawking's a genius and he talks like a robot. It's everything I ever wanted in a friend. - Sheldon (Big Bang Theory)

Saw these on a peg at Target today, I think $24.95. I'll hold off until they have a promo. (Maybe during the video release?)

I didn't notice in the online images how much better Rose' face is sculpted over the goofy looking one packed with BB-8.

The rickshaw droid would make a perfect small vehicle pack.

rickshaw droid
FO trooper transport
Tatooine skiff

i just want to see these back in production, because I either don't have it, or it's a good base for customs.
Shae Vizla
Shaak Ti, Unleashed

1) Mongo Beefhead <-- the mother of all Star Wars kit-bash
2) Pre Visla <--new head; new helmet; creative license with a SA Boba Fett version
3) Admiral Daala <-- new head, Ysanne Isard

1) Mongo Beefhead   <-- this is perfect for Q2
1) Tzizvvt <-- aliens, aliens, aliens
2) Chirrut Imwe <-- I expect this will be made. It is one with the force and the force is with it.
3) Old Rex (realistic)

Did I really just commit $500 -- $500!! -- to buy... Thirteen. Pounds. Of plastic?

When I die, I want my ashes placed inside the sail barge and the barge exploded over the Yuma desert.

Yoda was a physical puppet in this one.

Interesting. I wasn't sure if it was a physical puppet or CG made to look like a puppet. Not a biggie, and I'm all for homage, but I prefer those be more subtle or reminiscent. (Loved the Hardware Wars reference.)

Super Leia in space was done before in Guardians of the Galaxy when Star Lord rescued Gamora. He lived. Leia has the Force and used it to save herself.

I thought about that, too, when Leia's fingers moved. I think a labored drift back would have been more effective. Even in a fantasy with force speed and force jump, the Mary Poppins flight was too much of a WTF.
