Guarded optimism but Jeff is right, once I pay the convenience fee, they will be $30 per figure. M

Why is OT Tarkin wearing PT Tarkin boots?

I can't focus on how suck the skirt is while he is wearing those abominations. If anyone should have on Officers riding boots, it should be him.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Fisher Price Advetnture People

Adventure People are an all time favorite of mine.  They were what I was really into when Star Wars came out.

The Star Wars characters had many missions in Adventure People vehicles and tents.

If it had a Motorcycle, I had it.  For sure, the first figures with articulated knees.

I still have a bunch of them and my 4 year old son loves them. They have held up pretty decent too.

I recall the embarrassment though later in life going down the "baby" aisle to look for stuff, but when I scored that rescue helicopter, it was worth it.

So many water rescues needing to be made.

I have some Christmas morning pics we found at my grandmothers house recently I will scan them.  It is the TV van.

Anyone watching Hatfields & McCoys on History?

Oh yeah.  Wishing for an action figure line....

I am sad to see that the Bugs Bunny version was not as accurate as I had hoped.

Ok snag what you can at retail.  Rumor has it that they are holding all retaliation stuff that is not currently in Retailer's hands until Next Year.

So it is currently in my mind a worst case scenario.  We the collectors (and the speculators) will snag it all up pretty quick, then there will be empty pegs(or no pegs) until January.   Surely they could re-release some stuff, but they are/were geared for Movie stuff, I doubt they can un-tool fast enough to hit anything before 4th Q and then they would need to re-un-re-tool to support the movie line again.

Makes the Club Convention figures and their Subscription figures look better by default of not having any other Joes available.

Who would have thought that for the 2nd half of 2012 the highlight of Joeverse toys would be the Dollar Store waves and subsequent repaints.

Imagine the nerd-rage in NOLA in June, if I was a Hasbro rep, I'd ask for a temporary transfer to Star Wars for the summer.

Not to be fan boy  chicken little, but.... "death of the line"

Either the figures get held till the movie finlly hits and we have no Joes on the shelves for 10 months (won't be much of a change in some stores) or like you said, they will be on clearance before Labor day....

I don't like 3D per se, it's not something I seek out.  I just see this as a money and Job losing fiasco for somebody in Pawtucket.

I was actually planning my B-Day party around the release.  Oh well.

What a trainwreck of a thread. It's always something with those guys.

Makes me wonder though - why doesn't someone start a SW website for adults, where cursing and all that stuff is ok?

Some ego crazed troll would just buy it from them if they did.  And then make Jeff and Jesse do all the work.

I'm starting to think there will be another wave of ex-RS members dropping by, if that thread continues on its current path.

Lock the doors, turn out the lights and everybody hide..maybe they will think we aren't home.

I like this. I agree with Jesse - I wouldn't be surprised if Target was getting a new Speeder Bike in a Vintage box just like they got the Tauntaun and Landspeeder.

If they do, it better not be $25 unless it comes with a ball joint hip Scout Trooper...

Ball Jointed hip Biker Scout is the last figure I need and I can quit the hobby.

Yep...

So, anyone heading to Disney willing to pick up one of each droid part for me?   :)

I know somebody that goes twice a year.

And gets the wife to agree to it by taking her with him.

Plus they sell alcohol there, a great ally in unauthorized spending.
