From 4-LOM to Zuckass (Twitter) states that there will be a new Black Series reveal and pre-order tomorrow.  Not sure if this is a Wal-Mart exclusive or not.

So many TVC rumors... once again, Jayson is doing all he can to leak any surprises Hasbro has planned for Pulse Con in October.

As a token of appreciation, I wonder if Jayson will be one of the media insiders that get one of the early shipments of The Razor Crest that he identified ;D

If you did not watch last night's episode, even if you haven't watched the show in a while, go watch it!  They put a lot of great horror elements in it and using Connie's perspective (she's deaf, so they removed the sound), it was done brilliantly.  Then I saw that the episode was directed by Greg Nicotero, so it made sense.

Its funny, but my wife and I watched it and didn't really care for it just because of the horror element.  We miss the story lines and growth that used to exist in this show.  It seems recently that each season finds more ways to add more elements of gore.

This episode felt like someone's film school project with the non-sensical horror house with no way out, Gollum crab cannibal people, and torture scene.  It didn't seem to fit in to the normal Walking Dead aesthetic, but I can understand how people that like the horror genre would like this episode more.

Stats I looked up showed that the Manningcast accounted for 5% of week 1 viewership and 13% of week 2 viewership.

I'm not sure how much they're advertising the Manningcast, but I saw absolutely nothing about it before Week 1.  So 13% of the viewer mix is probably pretty dang good considering they've put very little (no?) promotional effort in to it.

Do we have any idea on when these are coming out?  Usually these things have an expected delivery date, but these items are totally blank.

I think the multi-colored Stormtrooper is only a month away from release.   Most releases tend to be 6 +/- months out...

I had been hoping that the General Merrick X-Wing would go live today, but no such luck.

Didn't they say that this would be in store only and not online?

I did get mine, I am able to set my schedule around this stuff for the most part when needs be. I shouldn't have to arrange my day for Star Wars toy preorders, though.

And it just puts ice in my heart for this hobby that the cycle of announcement-to sell out is under a day now. If I considered any of this essential (and not the gravy it is to me) it would really sap the joy from my collection.

Yeah, this is kind of tough and a bit ridiculous.

If you had a busy Thursday afternoon, or are travelling, or just happen to be doing something other than watching the web/twitter you would have missed Jayson's note on this and wouldn't be ready to camp at your computer Friday morning for the three minutes of adrenaline fueled clicking you need to get these.

Its been 18 months or so where things have been really bad on finding things in stock and being able to pre-order things.  I really hope Hasbro and stores start making/ordering more so these things are easier to come buy.  If necessary raise the price (like they have), overproduce, and clearance if you have to.  These things aren't lasting more than a few minutes in pre-orders, or on the pegs.  A non-hardcore collector can't get these, and forget it if you're a casual collector or mom/grandma trying to get something for your kids.  That's the part that probably bothers me the most is that actual kids that might want to play with these have zero chance of getting anything in the stores.

They just went live!!!!!!

Sweet.  Managed to get all three.

A little unusual for Target to be right on time with these.

For a repaint this is pretty cool.

Another solid week for the Manning Bros and their guests.  Pat McAfee was hilarious.

I flipped back and forth a few times between broadcasts but ended up watching 90% with the Mannings.  The main crew is just so stiff and boring, and the Mannings are pretty good and funny.

One thing I do wish they would do with the Mannings is not necessarily show their Zoom call faces quite as much.  They should just have the game on without as much Manning face time.  There usually isn't a ton to see with the Mannings unless they've got a guest on that is really animated like Pat McAfee.  Maybe pull their faces up periodically during slower times of the game.

I'll keep mostly watching the Mannings going forward.

I've been opening old carded figures and toys lately that have been packed away for years and years.  Right now I'm opening The Saga Collection from 2006.

Patrick needs to find these figures, look at this line, and study the whole execution of it.  Its soo perfectly sublime.

Each handful of figures are in a theme (e.g. "world building") that all work so well together.  The first handful are Jabba's palace, then you've got Hoth and ESB, AOTC, and it just keeps rolling.  I know we'll never see it again with the included stand, mini holo figures, and random accessories.  But the way they picked and chose highly articulated figures, kid play features, more limited articulation was absolutely fantastic.

There is still so much unmined material from the last five movies, The Mandalorian, etc.  If Hasbro could find a way to stop the repaints/repacks and get a passionate product manager to world build the right way we might be able to return to something resembling this line.

Jayson's apparent quest to spoiler everything Hasbro has planned for Pulse Con next month continues!

Today's rumor =Rumor Report: GameStop Exclusive 6 Black Series Gaming Greats 07

They should just pay him off.   >:D >:D

While they're at it they should pay him to be their product manager so we can get some cool new stuff.

I did enjoy the Darryl focused episode this past week.

It was fine, but it felt a lot like when Daryl was captured by The Saviors and held in The Sanctuary and had a bromance with Dwight.

Swap Leah for Dwight and The Reapers for The Saviors and you've got last week's episode.  However I did like the Apocalypse Now / Marlon Brando-like leader Pope.  Although you gotta wonder how an unhinged leader manages to keep his crew together, functioning, and fed for ten years.

I'm personally tired with all the conflict among the living.  It would make sense if they were fighting for resources or something, but now it seems like the only people left alive are those that want to kill every other living person.  And apparently they've all got plenty of food because the spend all their time going after their enemies, and are willing to use gasoline/kerosene to burn down a building instead of power a vehicle or generator.

I'm more interested in The Commonwealth storyline and what that might bring.  Its been a long time since our protagonists have encountered another friendly group

I finally caught up with the past few weeks of episodes.

Some good, some bad, and definitely repetitive storylines.  I'm still holding out hope that there is something creative and new that helps wrap up the series.
