PM sent, CHEWIE.   ;)

I know I'll try to send away for as many as I possibly can just to ensure that I get a really mint-mint version for my opener.

Like I said way earlier in this thread, I have zero confidence in Hasbro's ability to ship these withouit some sort of damage occuring to the majority of them.   :(

Wow, looks like that initial BBTS report was correct after all.   :o

My plan is to hope that I can sneak the tabs out of my carded set to send away for a 2nd Lucastrooper so I have 1 to open and 1 carded.  Seems like a better alternative than buying a second loose set...

Kubricks / Re: Attack of the Kubricks!

If I'm spending $200+, I want it to come from a reputable dealer.  I bought all of my carded figures from people I knew or people who had great on-line reps.

It's too much money to just risk it with a loser that no one has heard of, as this auction and this guy have proven.   ;)

Just the pics from ToyFair so far.

No official announcement has been made at www.hasbro.com/starwars and I don't think any e-tailers are pre-ordering this wave yet...

Feedback / Sentinel's feedback

Time to start a feedback thread here for Sentinel I guess.

Thanks for the quick payment and hope you enjoy your Clone Troopers.   :)

Just to carry over to the new page...

So far:
3 votes = Choice A - Imperials
3 votes = Choice B - Gladiators
4 votes = Choice C - Yuuzhan Vong

And, just to be clear, I understand everyone's point on Imperials, just looking out for the newbies.   ;)

Heck, if you really wanted you could probably come up with a Vong Gladiator in Clone Armor and just do all three that way...  :D

So, my vote still goes towards Gladiators, but if a Vong wins I'll make Nom Anor.  If an Imperial wins, all I have to do is show a Stormtrooper or Imperial officer with a slight modification, and to me that's just too easy.

Yeah, I hear you on the "too easy part", but we have to remember that everyone needs to start somewhere.  I have no problems with a "too easy" topic every now and again to encourage more participation in these challenges.

Something that is "too easy" for CHEWIE or Phruby or Glassman might not be too easy for everyone who would like to participate.

I think it is easy to forget that fact sometimes when you make as many customs as some of you folks do...  heck even re-painting a figure can be a big accomplishment for some newbies even though it is old hat for some of you out there.

A few of us are fighting it out for 2-4 but the league champ was decided so long ago that it really took the fun out of it for me.  Anyone else feel that way?

For some reason, I don't have any problems with the way things turned out this year...  :D

I'll vote Imperials, because that is what I thought we decided after picking Fan Fic Aliens last month...  :-\

So far...
3 votes = Choice A - Imperials
2 votes = Choice B - Gladiators
3 votes = Choice C - Yuuzhan Vong

Looks like we need some more votes still to choose a clear winner.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Heads Up- Hasbrotoyshop.com Catalog

I think the inability to keep things in-stock tie directly into Wal-Mart and Target.  I remember hearing Hasbro say at SDCC something along those lines...

I know from a Hasbro source that Wal-Mart was openly opposed to Hasbro having their own on-line store that would potentially undercut them, especially at "high peak" sales times (ie Christmas).

In other words, Hasbro has trouble keeping things in-stock because they do not want to piss off Wal-Mart and Target.  Those two are their two largest customers and both have a vested interest in making sure that you keep coming to THEM for your toys and not just buying things on-line direct from the manufacturer.

Hasbro has to walk a careful balance with their on-line store.  They have to offer enough products so they can tell us they are "trying to help the collectors" but they can't sell too much of each assortment or Wal-Mart and Target will pitch a fit...

Jeff is there anyway you could create a poll with those 3 choices on there?

No, not really any way to set up a poll like that in the forum.   :-\

For all those that didn't hear yet, this was indeed a lame early April Fools joke...  ::)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: My New Empire

Time for an update...

Things are going quite well in our house.  Mommy-to-be is doing very well, minor aches and pains are setting in.  Also setting in are the weird cravings and the required trips to the grocery store at midnight to buy odd food items.

We went to the doctor last week for a level 2 ultrasound (recommended for multiples to be sure that both babies are doing well).  This ultrasound is a bit more complicated than the usual version since it can do color for contrasts - things like infrared, density, etc.  As a result, we had some very cool scans - a chance to see the valves in their little hearts, the blood flow in the cord, lotsa of other very cool things.   :)

Also as a result of this level two ultrasound, we learned the sexes of our little babies.  We put the family members through a fun guessing game and tortured them for a bit before revealing the news...

We will be having fraternal twin boys.

Very exciting to say the least, and knowing we will be having two boys set a few changes in motion for the color scheme of the developing nursery.  Less neutral colors, more blues.   ;)

22 weeks down, quite a few more to go...  :D

Appearing soon on a Target shelf near you will be the exclusive Skirmish in the Senate Battle Pack. Click on the thumbnail above for a sneak preview, including a closer look at the star of the set - the super-articulated Shocktrooper (which is, in fact, a repaint of the RotS #41 sculpt).

Are you ready for a little tease?

If so, then tonight's Image Database update is for you! Today, the JediDefender photography department added high-res loose photos of the first figure from Hasbro's The Saga Collection "Vintage" wave! Click on the thumbnail above to check out the photos of the Biker Scout figure (and prepare to drool)!

No April Foolin' here, this figure is freakin' sweet.   8)
