Modern Classifieds / G.I. Joe's for Sale!
« on: January 17, 2008, 10:25 PM »
Alright guys, I have some 25th anniversary and DTC figures that I'm looking to sell. I bought them for my computer desk, but I found that Star Wars figures are much better to fool around with. Here's what I have for sale:

DTC
Night Ops Humvee with Rollbar- Loose/Mint/Complete with box and instructions
Footloose- Loose/Mint/Complete with cardback
SAW Viper- Loose/Mint/Complete
Grand Slam- Loose/Mint/Complete
Lowlight- Loose/Mint/Complete

25th Anniversary (All include Packages)
Beachhead- L/M/C
Stalker- L/M/C (I think he's got the fixed crotch)
Flint- L/M/C (Fixed Crotch)
Firefly- L/M/C (Fixed Crotch)
COBRA Trooper x2- L/M/C
COBRA Officer- L/M/C

I'm going to look for $75 shipped for everything. I'll go $50 shipped on the 25th Anniv. stuff with packages, $45 shipped without. $30 shipped for the DTC stuff... goes great with the new 25th Anniv. stuff.

I'd also be willing to trade for Star Wars stuff. I need some TAC Wave 7/7.5 figures and I'd be open to trade for Star Wars Legos. I'll trade the whole lot of G.I. Joes for MOC Pax Bonnkik, R2-B1, Hawkbat Clone, Hologram Darth Vader, Naboo Soldier, Spirit Anakin Skywalker, and Endor R2-D2. As for Legos, I'll trade the whole lot for the Clone Trooper AT-AP and the Hailfire Droid/Spider Droid sets. PM me for feedback, questions, offers, or other Hasbro Star Wars stuff you might have for trade. Thanks for looking!

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: MyenShi's Customs
« on: January 6, 2008, 01:15 AM »
Great stuff MyenShi. The Clone Troopers are my favorites of the group. You really captured the dirty and gritty side of war in these figures. The bases/stands really do add quite a bit to the display of the clones. The ARC trooper medic seems to be the perfect figure with the perfect base and perfect pose... photographed perfectly. I might have to try your weathering technique if I ever decide to pick up customizing. Keep up the great work, and make some Battle Droids or Rebel Alliance soldiers next time!

I really like this new clone, Nirvana. The pouches look really different and neat, but the helmet and weathering really make the great. The level of detail on the figure is amazing, and the layers of different paint on the shoulders really match your story well... speaking of which, the story/background info was very good. It kept me intrigued about the figure/character, and after I finished reading it, I wanted to make my own to act out my own adventures/battles. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills, time, or money to customize, so I cannot make my own clone trooper like yours. Anyway, keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars or The Force Unleashed?
« on: January 6, 2008, 01:03 AM »
Clone Wars all the way!

The Force Unleashed seems kind of crappy to me. Some items, such as General Kota and Marriss Brood, I am crazy about, while most every other TFU item seems lame. Incinerator Troopers? Shadow Guards? Secret Apprentices? Gimme a break... Well, Hasbro does give my wallet a break, cuz no coins with TFU figures means I'm only buying three instead of seven or eight.

Clone Wars, on the other hand, has me super excited. Not really for clones, but for the potential for cool Jedi, battle droids, more Plo Koon figures, military and hopefully civilian space ships, armored ground vehicles for both the Republic and CIS, and hopefully some more Separatist leaders, such as a repaint of Durge and updated Nemoidians. The cartoon series itself looks really good, and I'm sure the toys will be pretty cool as well. The downside about the Clone Wars is that it's going to make me poor.

I'm definately feelin' the Mygeeto set, so I'll work that into my collection and my 2008 budget. Tri Droid, SBD, and cardboard background are well worth the $20. The other stuff is just gravy.

The Hoth set I'm on the fence about. I would need two sets for my Imperial army due to all of my troop squads being multiples of four, so it might be easier and definately cheaper for me to just skip this set. Oh, I hate the speeder bikes as well.

The Legacy Collection / Re: 2008 Millenium Falcon Upgrade
« on: January 6, 2008, 12:39 AM »
I'll most likely buy this despite how it looks, mostly due to the fact that I don't own any of the earlier Falcons, so I might as well start with the most expensive version.

I'm going to be completely broke this year... I really need a full time job.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2008 Rumors and Speculation

As happy as I would be if that was the actual Wave Three lineup,(I love the clone Wars)I cannot help but think that this is just a fan wishlist that got reported as a rumor somewhere along the line.

Feedback / Re: JGordon24's feedback
« on: January 6, 2008, 12:31 AM »
I completed my first transaction with Chris and it went very well. He cut me a nice deal on some older ships that I was looking for, so that was pretty good for me. Chris was very fast with responding to PMs, and he was also extremely nice, which is a rare commodity on these internet forums. Overall a great guy, great deals, and great transaction. Don't hesitate to do business with JGordon24!

I might be interested. Can you give me an estimate on shipping? My zip code is 27614. Thanks!

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Your DEFINITIVE top 3 wants!
« on: December 31, 2007, 10:09 PM »
Yeah, some of the PT stuff was surprising, even though I put some EU characters(and Jar Jar) in my list. Most of my collection is PT stuff, so that may explain my choices. It would be nice if we could have a top 3 vehicle/playset/item thread to complement this thread. That could be interesting.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Movie Thread
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:56 PM »
Cloverfield, from what I have heard, is just a monster destroying New York City. Pretty simple concept, sort of like Godzilla, I guess. I also read that it was shot with hand-held cameras, so if you're not one for a shaky picture, then the movie might not be for you.

EDIT: I also caught AvP 2 this weekend, and I liked it for what it was. It was entertaining, and definately better than the first movie. Of course, that is like comparing poop to a brownie: the brownie will always be better. The movie was no masterpiece, but it was a good action film.

I have about ten names floating around in my head, so I'll just list those ten and eliminate seven as I think some more.

1. Tyber Zann
-Geonosian Warrior
2. Jar Jar Binks with young Anakin Skywalker
3. Commander Prajji (Imperial Officer SSC released as a 12 inch figure recently... looked cool)
-Nik Sant (old Endor Commando)
-SA Battle Droid
-Hoth Rebel Trooper
4. Nym
5. Ben Kenobi

Alright, I have a top five. Wanna fight about it?  :P

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Juno Eclipse Force Unleashed
« on: December 29, 2007, 12:28 PM »
Well, it might be the type of glove she wheres in the video game. A glove with an open back would kind of make sense to me, as I believe Juno is a shuttle pilot so she probably wouldn't want her hands to get overly hot when she is flying. She would also not want her hands to get too sweaty and stinky if she wants to become "friends" with that Secret Apprentice character.

As for the figure, Hasbro probably did not want to sculpt detailed gloves, so they just painted the flesh color on like the wounds on the 2006 TSC Padme Amidala figure.

EDIT: Yup, I think the gloves should have an open skin part:

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Recent 30AC Purchases
« on: December 29, 2007, 11:58 AM »
I had some good luck on my birthday today, and found a case of Wave 8 at Target. Picked up one of each figure, as well as doubles of the destroyer droid and clone trooper.
