The Vintage Collection / Re: Tonnika Sisters coming?
« on: April 25, 2005, 01:47 PM »
Sweet! They really are the two characters that are noticably missing from the Cantina scene. I mean, I can live without a Swilla Cory figure, but the Tonnika Sisters are a must-have.

BTW Lando, congrats on the engagement, a very nice young lady you have there.

Thanks Morgbug!  ;D

Yeah, I can't ******* stand Brian's Toys. I've been saying it for years, and my biddy almost got ripped off by them this weekend. I understand that it costs money to run this site, but do we really have to have these scumbags as sponsors?

Oh man...if anyone can pick up one of these bad boys for me, I would be most thankful! This is one of my most wanted figures, believe it or not. I kept going back to the case at C3 to look at this figure. Sure its simple, and a little overpriced, but ME WANTEE!!!  ;D

Celebration III: Indianapolis / Re: Everyone Get Home Safe?
« on: April 25, 2005, 10:31 AM »
Yeah, the convention food was ******* terrible.

I got home yesterday at about 5:15. We had a 45 minute lay over in Pittsburgh, but other than that, it was a pretty fast trip. I had a blast!

Aha! But I wasn't at the convention center on Sunday. Unless you were at the same hotel as me (the Omni)?

You're right about the people/sobriety thing. Next time, all JD forum members should wear armbands or t-shirts or something. That would help us pop out of the sea of faces a bit more!

By the way, Lady Scoundrel loved your t-shirt from Friday night!

Met a bunch of you scoundrels on Friday night...

JediMAC
Nataku
Morgbug
Princess
JJKS
Kneel Before Zod
Jesse James (who I also ran into in the convention when I was trying to find the diorama room)
Tydirium
Jokabofe
Valin Kenobi
Apokolips
and "Dr Claw" himself, Chris Berry

I had a great time at Celebration3 (despite the lines), and it was really cool to meet you all. Hopefully next time I'll have a bit more time to hang out. Some of you scoundrels have got to make it to NYC at some point. Jokabofe, you have no excuse, Jersey boy!

Edit: I forgot Valin Kenobi. But you seem as overwhelmed as me at how many people you met!  ;D

Hey, I'm so sorry I walked right past you on Saturday night. I was distracted by the fact that I'm not the only one with an "OB/GYN Kenobi" shirt....and there was also the scotch...  ;)

Anyways, great meeting you (as I'm posting in the meeting people thread), but I thought I'd post a special one for you since I was walking around completely oblivious to the world. My girlfriend filled me in on just how oblivious I was, and I wanted to let you know I wasn't being a snob or anything. :-[

Can someone please put him in the emperor's chair from ROTJ? I'd do it myself, but I'm kinda swamped at work.

I can't wait for the commander and gunner to show up in NY.

You and me both, man.

Well, that may be true, but the Terri Shiavo case has been going on for quite awhile. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing about it over a year ago.

There were a couple things I thought were a little ho-hum about the show...though I will probably watch the second part. I thought the anti-christ guy was creepy as hell. The baby coming out of the sea in Greece is kind of cool. Reminds me of how many things about the bible are taken from Greek mythology.

The problem is, when you're doing a movie about the end of the world, the ending will usually be either great or very cheezy.

I saw it. I don't think I'm going to get into it too deeply, as I could see this turning into a religious debate. However, I really do think they took advantage—unfairly—of the Terri Shiavo case. And I question what agenda the production company (Pariah) has with this miniseries.

I wish I knew, Justin. There were some good guys over there. It was alot like a small community of people who got along, kind of like a certain place I know...  ;)
