I don’t recall what the original ship date was but I got an email saying this is delayed to May 13.

It was 4/27.  This item was supposed to be on a "May the 4th" endcap along with a bunch of other stuff (BS6" Range Trooper, BS6" Jedha Stormtrooper, Epic Hero X-Wing/Luke).  I was at a Target last night that had the endcap set up and had a shelf tag for this, but the shelf was empty.

Hasbro Pulse sent me an email saying my new approximate ship date is... today.  But no actual shipping notice.

Got another one of these pointless Hasbro update emails today... maybe I can expect to get one on the 28th of every month until it finally ships?

Amazon just sent me the 'sorry, it's delayed' email about my Shin/Baylan.

They were supposed to be here today but now delivery day is Wednesday. :(

Please forgive me for not getting the distinction you were trying to make, because I know that the Chicken Little crowd has no shame in their never-ending quest for clicks and likes.

No worries - we are on the same page when it comes to those turds.

I'll have to go watch those old Rebel's episodes you mentioned.  I'm sure I've seen them at least once, but the reference doesn't sound familiar.

After thinking about the Rebels connection the other day, I went back and rewatched a few of those later episodes.  I forgot just how much Bail and Mon showed up in some of those episodes and how much is really kind of relevant to what's going to happen in Andor.

We got Rebels cameos in Rogue One (Chopper, The Ghost, "paging General Syndulla") which started to make me wonder if we'll get any here too?  If this were a Filoni show, I'd say absolutely we could expect to see Hera and Chopper in Andor S2, but not sure Gilroy is open to playing with things that way.

What canon media does the Ghorman massacre come from?

Started with an RPG sourcebook back in the 90s -  The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, 1990.  In that Legends version, the Ghorman massacre involved Tarkin (and how Tarkin was promoted to a Moff) and was the event that pushed a lot of Senators (like Bail Organa) to join up with Mon Mothma in starting the rebellion.

In the newer Disney canon, it pops up in the Forged in Battle sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game (2016).  Then, it got name dropped in the Star Wars Rebels episode "Secret Cargo", which is totally worth rewatching that Rebels arc as it is heavy in Mon Mothma/early Rebellion stuff probably very closely related to what's going to happen in Andor's later arcs.

It pops up in a lot more detail in the "fake historical non-fiction" book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire (which is an awesome book - it's supposed to be an in-universe history textbook that looks back on the empire like our history books look back on WW2 or something).  Also pops up in various places over the years (Sansweet's Star Wars Encyclopedia from late 90s; Rogue One Visual Dictionary, etc.).

One of things that's been referenced and referred to by lots of things but never dealt with this directly until Andor Season 2.

I guess all the rumors about Hasbro losing money and wanting out were just click-bait fodder for the youtube trolls...
It's not rumors - the Hasbro CEO and CFO were saying as much on corporate earnings calls.

Sorry, I should have been more clear - the rumors to which I was referring in a snarky way were in regards to a certain batch of youtubers who claim Hasbro is tired of losing money on "woke Star Wars" and was threatening LFL/Disney that they (Hasbro) would drop the license unless LFL stopped going so "woke".

I have been picking up some of the S7 Sesame Street Reaction stuff, mostly in the $16-18 range on sale at Amazon.  $21 each is just too much for 5POA stuff.  I'll be quitting those unless I can still find deals on Amazon.

We went last night - I couldn't resist.  Fun to see it in theaters again but not fun to be reinded that it's been 20 years!  Man we are all getting old...

Was this something before the screening?

At our showing it was after all the previews/crap at the beginning, right before the 20th Fox searchlights opening.  Agree that it's kind of cool that all the kids who grew up with ROTS are lifting Hayden up for the role as opposed to all the angry 30-year olds back in the day who hated Jake/Hayden so much for not being "the perfect Anakin".

Not Star Wars, but posting this for comparison on how some others are handling things.  I got this one today from Super 7 - they are going the "tariff surcharge" route.

Quote
Dear Super7 Community,

We want to share an important update about how recent changes in global trade and import tariffs are affecting us.

Starting today, April 24th, an 8% surcharge will be added to all non-apparel items.

We didn’t come to this decision lightly. For as long as possible, we’ve worked to absorb these rising costs ourselves—without passing them along to you. Unfortunately, the scale of these increases has made it unsustainable for us to continue doing so entirely. Even with this surcharge, it still doesn’t cover the full impact we're facing.

We’re doing everything we can behind the scenes to minimize the effect on our community. If conditions change or a better solution becomes available, we’ll reevaluate this surcharge immediately.

Super7 has always been about more than just toys—it’s about the people who collect them. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time.

Hopefully, but when was the last time anyone went back to charging less for something? 🤔

That is my worry too.   I like the way that BBTS did things.  They undid their price hikes (example: they had put the Landspeeder at $65 but recently revised it back down to $60) and then added a nebulous "excludes tariff surcharge" line.  I'm hoping this means they will be able to hold the line on prices and then just drop the tariff surcharge when they can.

This includes bringing characters from the Star Wars galaxy to life in action figure form through the highly popular lines, The Black Series and The Vintage Collection, as well as engaging new generations of fans with Lightsabers™ toys and other kids’ and preschool toys themed around characters from Darth Vader to The Mandalorian."

I guess all the rumors about Hasbro losing money and wanting out were just click-bait fodder for the youtube trolls...

Watched all three episodes last night and loved them.  A+.

Loved the Krennic stuff and them diving into Ghorman as a larger part of this story.  That is some loooong time SW lore right there - going back into some 1990s RPG sourcebook stuff.  The dates of some things are being shifted around from the old Legends stuff and the old Legends stuff had Tarkin as the focal point where this maybe will be Krennic now.

I was really looking forward to this series and how it'd tie into Rogue One, but I guess I never stopped to think about how it's going to sort of tie into Star Wars Rebels a bit too as that show also covered Ghorman/Mon Mothma and the start of the Rebel Alliance.

I don't tend to get too wrapped up in critics and rotten tomatoes and all that (I like to just watch and decide for myself), but after the last few duds it is very refreshing to see all the positive reviews out there for Season 2.  Sounds like we are in for an awesome 4-weeks of new Star Wars!
