Got yet another package from Brent today, complete with a spiffy GG bust, and other asst items that left me scratching my head.  ;)  Great pack job as usual, and I especially like the use of the 2-3 dozen stamps you used for postage.  :P

Thanks bud.

Hmmmm, I was fairly interested in these upon first hearing about them. But now that I've seen some of them, uhhh, not so much. I'll probably be passing on these just because of all the other things I'd rather spend the money on.

Yep, I have full set of the 8 too. Very nice pieces. I have them hanging on one of the lone metal spots in my collection room.

I wonder if they'll ever make any new ones?

I'm still not ready to give anything to the Mets yet. Look at the Phillies. Each of the last 2 years, their off season moves were to have put them over the top, and each time, they fall flat as the Braves win yet another championship. I can easily see the same thing happening to the Mets this year.

Sure, on paper, Pedro and Beltran look great, but lets take a look at each of their numbers from last year. Pedro had a career high in ERA, hits allowed and walked the most guys he has since '98. Perhaps he is on the downside of his career, or maybe arm problems. Either way, it's not the best of signs heading into this year. And sure, he won 16 games last year, but last time I checked, the Mets offense was not the Sox offense. He'll miss all those runs they scored. I'm sure he'll love having the 3rd worse defense in the majors last year playing behind him too.

On to Beltran. He's a solid player but not an elite kind of offensive player. Not someone who hit .267 last year and only .258 since coming to the NL. Also, last year was the first year his hit more than 30 homers. He's never had more than 108 rbis in year. I don't don't why Beltran, who is basically a 30hr, 100rbi, below .300 hitter, is all the sudden worth 17 mil a year. Those types of hitters are a dime a dozen. I'll also be interested in seeing how he handles the pressure of a huge contract to play up to and playing in a big market, as opposed to small market teams such as Houston and KC. He better hope he gets off to a hot start or he'll probably get eaten alive by the media there.

So basically what I'm saying is, don't be surprised if the Mets finish in 3rd and around .500 again this year. Behind my Braves.  :P

No worries on the trade. I should have contacted you sooner too. Let me know, when you get your other deals straightened out, what you have left.  :)

Yep, and I think the 10 start max will limit how dominating you can be with your roster. By not being able to plug in those players every single week they play, you'll have to be more creative on who you draft and who you start, which should make it more fun.

So is there like a draft for this, or is every player available to all of us? I don't see it mention anything about a draft, but it seems it might be more fun if there were. Not quite as interesting and competive if we all have Tiger, Vijay, Michelson and a few of the other top ranked players on our teams, even if we're unable to start them week in and week out the entire year.

So basically your starting 4 could differ from round 1 of a tourney to round 4? And then after that you're free to drop and pick up players during the week and then reset a squad of 8 before the next tourney? Interesting way of doing it I guess. Keeps you leaderboard watching thruout the entire tournament this way.

One more thing about and their 3-packs. If there is indeed only 8 configurations, that's pretty sneaky (and crappy) on their part by only offering these in 3 packs. Why not 2-packs or 4 packs? Nope, by doing it this way, they force you to by an extra one to get all the possibilities. Bastages.  ::)

3 Bust Ups per pack with the ability to build any of eight configurations

This is what it says at about these, maybe you get extra arms with each Stormie, allowing you to make any of the 8 with a 3 pack. Because I'll be a little pissed if by ordering 3 3-packs, I still am not able to display every possible variation.

Im guessing with a 10 start max for players, you'll need all those roster spots. I'm hoping they limit each of your 8 roster spots to those 10 starts regardless of the player occupying it, otherwise what prevents you from constantly dropping and adding players and fielding 4 golfers every single weekend their is a tournement?  That would kind of defeat the 10 start max with the exception of a few handful of golfers that you would want to keep the whole year.

I'd be game if you wanted to start up league. I follow golf enough to have a pretty good idea on who else is good past the obvious 2 of Vijay and Tiger.

Does this league last the entire year?
