Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Michelin "Airless" Tires

Awesome!  I always wanted Bike Tires on my Vue! :P

I thought these were a hoax when I first heard about them earlier this year, but they are the real deal I guess...

They just seem so strange...  where will the 2Fast,2Furious crowd attach the "spinners" or chrome?

Meanwhile, the MN Wild signed...

right wing Joey Tetarenko.

I guess Modano was our only chance at a free agent.  Maybe we can get Phil Housley to come out of retirement to play for us?   :P

Kubricks / Series 5
« on: August 17, 2005, 04:57 PM »
Man, I remember I was just a Kubrick lurker back then and I was reading that stuff go down...

The trouble you guys had pretty much scared me off of collecting Kubricks because I was afraid that this kinda stuff was going to happen to me if I ever got sucked in.

Of course, now that I am sucked in, I did manage to have my own "bad seller" incident - I guess you aren't truly part of the club until someone from overseas screws you!   >:(

Thoughts?  Just trying to come up with something new...

Sounds like you just invented a new name/price point for more complicated deluxe/ultra figures to me...  :P

I think the deluxe figures have been kinda hit or miss.  Some (Luke w/Bacta Chamber) were phenominal, others (Amanaman) were a waste for the price.

I'd be OK with spending $15 for a small vehicle type thing, but I really wouldn't want the deluxe type stuff to slip past the $10-12 mark.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Deluxe Clone 3-packs

I can't say I'm heartbroken.

I can't believe that "awesome Clone 3-packs at TRU" story was anything more than RS rumor/speculation in the first place.

They were the only ones who were really pimping that story when it first came out and now they can cover their tracks with a nice "I guess they were cancelled" line.   ::)

Through all of my Hasbro contacts, I was never able to verify that story, which leads me to believe that's all it ever was - a story.   :P

How do you read the date stamps, anyway...? :-\

The 1st digit = last digit of manufacturing year
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th digits = day of the year
The 5th digit = manufacturing site

So, 51921 means:

5 = 2005
192 = 192nd day of the year (July 12th)
1 = Manufacturing Site 1  (every RotS Figures has a 1 in the 5th spot since there is a single maunfacturing site)

51921 = My #54 AT-RT Driver was manufactured at Site 1 on July 12th, 2005

Which is really amazing that it made it from the manufacturer to Wal-Mart in 1 month!

I havent seen any reporting on the news as of yet, but if it hasnt already started, Im sure it will soon.

The local news here has had a few stories of siphoning, mostly involving places with "fleet vehicles" and low security - a place where they can get more bang for the buck.

Gas drive-offs aren't the only form of theft rising with fuel prices

What date stamps do you guys have? My brown driver was stamped 51571. Someone posted on RS that both his drivers had the same date stamp. I don't think Habro or LFL know WTF the right paint scheme is for this character!

My pal has the "full brown face paint" with the same date stamp = 51571.  I have also seen the full-dark helmet with 51501 and 51851.

I have the white-top version and my date stamp is 51921, which is later than any of the "full face" paint versions.

So which one is the right one, i.e. the one Hasbro has intended for us to have.

I believe that this is the Error (released first) - the one with the fully painted helmet:

This is the corrected version (released second):

Or at least, the second one matches the paint scheme on the Driver that was packed in with the AT-RT and it matches the actual LF paint job.

Received a super-fast payment from Beth today!  :)

Always a smooth transaction when dealing with Beth!  Your Anakin will be in the mail tomotrrow!

One of my pet peeves is people who honk at me while I am driving my oversized SUV down the highway as if I owned the road while talking on my cell phone...

Insensitive jerks.   :'(

Another quick, easy, painless transaction here at!

Ricardo picked up a few of the figures that I was selling.  Payment was sent lightning fast and it was mailed the day he said it was, no BS here!

Your figures will be out in the mail soon!

Thanks again, Ricardo!

I filled up both cars yesterday...  $2.46 per gallon!

Saturn Vue - $26.50
Mitsubishi Gallant - $37.50

Total = $64.00  :o

The only redeeming factor about that is that when I went by the Station today, the price had jumped to $2.699 per gallon!

Got lucky and saved myself about $6 thanks to filling up on a lazy Sunday...  :)
