I'm definitely not a fan of the price on this one, but I have to say that in-hand the colors are much richer than the previous repainted rerelease...it looks really good. The Boba Fett is great too. I guess I'm able to justify it to myself by canceling the Modal Nodes set and just grabbing the two instruments I don't have from a seller on Etsy who makes really great 3d prints. His band instruments look better than the Hasbro ones, and I have more than enough of the Friggin' Dan to go around, so my Cantina patrons can all bask in the "****" (I can't believe that ever got past Lucasfilm).

This thing has been sitting in a Fedex spot in my (tiny) state since Feb 12th, and it's still scheduled for delivery on Saturday. I honestly thought they were joking, but it hasn't moved. I could order it from Amazon today and still get it sooner than HasbroPulse using Fedex Smartpost.

It seems pretty obvious that Vader will be built on the Darth Vader (The Dark Times) body.
As will the ANH Vader with Interrogation Droid, and the ROTJ Vader with Electrocution / Skull / See-Through effect, as will the Vader in Meditation Chamber ($89.99), and Glow in the Dark Vader (for no real reason whatsoever) and the red-painted Vader FoR CHriSTmAs!!1!
Or, the one I actually would want that they probably wouldn't do, this Vader on the funeral pyre.
The key question here is this - will Hasbro recognize when collectors have tapped out on the new sculpt?
But if they went back and did the complete meditation chamber from TESB? Because that 500th Vader only had the seat. I would so be up for that.
My son loved Darth Vader when he was potty training, so I used that 500th Vader to show him everyone goes. He's 7 now and still calls him "Potty Vader."
That said, I really want a full meditation chamber. I don't care if I have to buy a 3rd party 3d printed kit.

Yularen and Tarkin are two officers in particular that I'd like with this new body. Motti is also screaming for an update, as is Veers. I hope they can possibly have new legs at least for some of them to give variations to the heights.

He's not a never-before made character, but I'd **** my pants for a Squidface that was given the same level of love as last year's Bib Fortuna.

I'm really happy with how that Vader turned out. And I'm also happy that they got the life support controls painted accurately for ROTJ, rather than just using the same Kenobi ones. I'd love to have him sitting in a meditation chamber, but at this point I think I'll have to wait until someone has a 3d printed kit on ebay or etsy, because Hasbro doesn't really make much of anything anymore.
To be fair, there was an extremely low bar to clear for Endor Han, and I'm looking forward to him. I really would have wanted rocker ankles and the new barbell hips, but I'll be ******* psyched to get this atrocity off my shelf...

I would definitely buy a trooper builder pack with the white clones, but yeah, buying the single carded figures is expensive. Piett is a much-needed upgrade.

I'm hoping the black line was just an error on the prototype. I could probably see picking up a couple packs of these, but I don't want to have to draw a line on them all.
Definitely interested in the white clones though. I always felt the multicolor clone thing was a miss in ROTS, and wanted to see them trending a little closer to Stormtroopers. I like that (at least in the Bad Batch) they all got rid of the color right after Order 66.

Unpopular opinion: both trailers spend a lot of time on Naboo starfighter glam shots. A lot. I like the thing, but I hope season 3 isn't a lot of sitting in that thing, because it's not as cool as the Razor Crest.
