Middle Earth / Re: LOTR Trilogy Figures

I think it will be too.  I don't worry too much, since I've found everything at retail eventually, but I thought this kind of nonsense was behind us.  (what was I thinking?)

www.cmdstore.com has these in stock, and most importantly, they have carded pics.   :)

I hear ya'.  The average price for me at the theater now is $10, with concessions.  That's four new release rentals, or four movies with no BS to deal with.

Theaters have been inching toward pricing themselves into irrelevance the last few years anyways.  The crap service doesn't help, but that's a national epidemic.

I'll just continuet to use my spiffy EP1 Holo Sidious.  He's still a great figure.

Meh.  Big time meh.  Where are the exclusives of yesteryear?  You know, good ones?  Sigh.

Right now I'm only planning on buying Yoda to keep carded, and maybe Chewie and the Stormtrooper to open.  We'll see.

I'm kind of glad it's the POTF2 one, because now I certainly have no interest in it whatsoever.   I don't see why this is an exclusive.  The Anakin Spirit thing (if it pans out) would be more unique.

The LOTR Burger King Exclusive Uruk Hai w/ helmet.  I think this is the one piece in all my years of collecting I have not been able to get a hold of.  It frustrates the hell out of me like you wouldn't believe.

That, and the original Buffy Spike fig, but lots of new ones are coming, so I'm not so worried about that anymore.

I love art as well.  I love the classics like da Vinci or Vermeer, Maxfield Parrish, the Hildebrandts, I love it all.  I like Escher and Giger, too.  I love Dave McKean.  Fantastic artist.  I love too many comic artists to mention.

Only Lobot so far for me.  I intend to change that, of course.   :)

- What's the long term view of the line post EP3?

- What do you have against Wedge?

- More Clone Troopers.  Really.

- There are still many PT figs we want.  Don't forget them.

My cousin (lucky SOB) apparently was in on the W'Loo Wally World OTC bonanza on Friday, and scored a complete set of all available figs.   It's like he's everywhere at once.  Sigh.
