The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Rey with Speeder

I bought them both Day One, then again when they hit $30 at one of the Walmarts here. They are both excellent toys. I don't think the fact that they hit clearance rapidly at one retail chain is necessarily indicative of the fact that they didn't do well. I think it's more a function of the real estate they command on the toy aisle and the fact that a lot of stores didn't have a place for these on the latest planogram so by default they ended up in the clearance aisle after they dismantled those large pop displays.

They seemed to sell through pretty quickly here at most places. I don't know that I've seen any get restocked either, so maybe they had smaller production runs on these as well.

Welp, he's now on their website as of this morning.  :)

I ordered 2 for free shipping, came to the exact price I would have paid in store. Love that.

Also used the Find it in Store feature to confirm there are none around here still.

Good luck!

This thing is starting to vex me. It's bad enough you can't do any kind of online inventory search for it, but they can't even be bothered to put the darn thing on their website either. And the distribution is just so random. Like whole pockets of the country just got skipped over.

Was definitely not like this for previous exclusives around here. At least Star Wars. I can go out and build an army of Human Torches though.  ::)

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

That might be a good movie.  :P

Last scene is a fake out, the lighting doesn't even match.

After Rogue One, can we expect any of this to be in the final movie?

100% agree on the fake out.

I gotta admit, I felt pretty disappointed after watching it. I came away feeling like this is a movie I do not really want to see. Looks like a whole lot of Kylo acting like a whiny doosh. And no one wants to see tired old, broken-down Luke. We want to see a full on Jedi Master kicking ass and taking names!

A bunch of exploding ships and random fight scenes....who really cares about Finn v Phasma...and no shots of Rose, DJ, Laura Dern, cool beasts or aliens, or any of the Praetorian Guards.

150 minutes and that's the best stuff they could pull out? How about the battle with the Knights of Ren? Or more stuff from Canto Bight?

I know I'm in a minority of 1 on this, I just feel like this did not give me anything new or exciting.  :(

Found this whole wave Friday at Target, then managed to pick up a second Praetorian Guard Saturday, so I am all caught up again, except for stupid Obi-Wan.

I opened them all up last night and am really impressed with the lot. They are all very well sculpted and I had the luxury of shopping around for the best paint apps, so no complaints there.

I particularly love the Guard as there are so many cool poses you can get out of it, albeit with a bit of futzing. Can't wait for the Amazon one now.

Finn is an awesome base for Imperials. That cap is so well done too.

Found all of Wave 2 at Target over lunch today  :D

A few of the boxes were as mangled as I've ever seen show up on the pegs. That did not deter me though, opener that I am.

Guessing I may need an extra Guard to pair with the additional gear from the Amazon exclusive. I know there are 5 total pictured, but rumored to be as many as 8 in the film.

Still no sign of Spirit Obi here...

Thanks for posting photos here so I don't have to go to the skeevy dirtbag site to look at them.  ;D

DJ looks flat out awesome. I think it's a pretty boring character design and not a fan of the hat, but they nailed BDT's likeness.

Lando looks like he's about to drop a deuce. Interesting they would put another Lando fig out so soon after the last one too.

4-LOM looks pretty sweet except he seems too skinny somehow and the neck looks too long.

Dengar looks good til you get to the face. Did they scan a woman's likeness by accident? Eesh.

This Wave showed up at HTS yesterday too but I got there 5 seconds too late and missed all the good ones.  :(

I officially quit watching for this back half. I hate the writing, I hate the characters, it was just a labor to sit through a whole episode.

Maybe I will go back and watch when the season is over, but I doubt it.

Made the trek into a distant Walmart way across the river which apparently is Clearance Shangrila. Scored a few good deals:

Both Centerpiece sets for $25 each
Rey speeder and landspeeder for $30 each

So basically half off, not bad for how recently this stuff came out.

Then I went next door and picked up, literally, the only GameStop 4-pack in the entire metropolitan area. Can't wait to crack that open tonight!

Saw this wave at Target today

Thank you for posting this! I have not seen this information at any other websites, so that is very helpful. I haven't even stepped foot in a Target since FF but it is good to know they are potentially relevant once again.

Between looking for this and the GameStop stuff, I'm just too burnt out to keep it up anymore. If I see it, I'll get one, but I'm not going to keep hunting.

All street dates do is piss people off and make it harder to get toys. So over that.

I feel like that guy in the razor commercial. "It's like they don't WANT you to buy toys."  ::)

I got excited Monday, and I got excited today, but I'm not getting excited on 10/2, because I just know its going to get pushed back again.

Sort it out, GS!

So is this show moving to a streaming-only platform after broadcasting the first couple episodes?  I'm confused why people who have cable TV are complaining about signing up for a service.

Yes, after the first episode.

Apparently in every other country it's available via Netflix, except Canada where it is airing on their equivalent of Sy-Fy.

Streaming-only + underpants + ??? = profit

I liked it overall, but I am not a die hard Trekkie. A two hour premier probably would have been a little more engaging. Still baffles me they would throw all that money into a show most people will not even be able to watch.

I wasn't crazy about Abe Sapien's character, or the weird blue guy on the bridge. With so many established races to choose from, I fail to see the need to keep inventing new ones, but SW does the same shtick.

I did love the weird guy with the computer terminal head. That would make an awesome action figure.

I was hoping we would get to meet the other guy who looks like, and maybe is,  the dude who played Lucius Malfoy.

They should re-run the whole thing next summer on regular TV. I'd watch more but no way I'm paying for this.
