I think the market's getting soft on GG product.  I think the market has gotten somewhat saturated with A LOT of statues from almost as many companies.  I think collectors can only take on so much.  I think the end result is that there might be some more bargains to be found.

I couldn't agree more, but it's soft on more than just the statues.  I just picked up the Royal Guard bust for $22.50 on ebay.  Most GG product I can't be bothered to get anywhere but ebay anymore, simply because in 90% of the cases, I can beat the best retailers prices.  Yeah, there's less protection, but with a paypal auction there's at least the illusion of protection.

I want the second GG statue (especially if I can get rid of my first) because it's different enough from all the other Vader statues out there.  But I'll wait for the price I want, somewhere around $90-130 or so, pre-shipping.

I am supposed to have my Vader statue tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see what this thing looks like. I've refrained from looking at any pictures that have been posted because I wanted to be surprised. Does anyone know exactly how heavy this thing is? I'm wondering if it's going to be to heavy to sit on my shelf that I've made room on.  :-\

The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

Well I got my Vader today! #148 is sitting on the shelf. It is heavy, but I think the shelf will be fine holding it up. I put it over one of the metal holders for extra support.

The light up base feature is just too cool. GG has done it again.  ;D

I had this on my Christmas list, but my wife is uncomfortable ordering things online, so I think it's time I did some hunting for it.  I HAVE to have this one!

This one turned out really nice. They changed the lips and the skin tone, but otherwise it looks pretty darn close to the production shot that is so great. I like how they packed this one too. It's all one piece that's pretty thin, so it comes in a very thin box which makes it easier to store. That's always a good thing.  ;D

This was at the Citrus Park Mall food court in Tampa, FL during the Tampa Star Wars Collector's Club meeting on Wednesday night. There is a Chick-Fil-A there though.  :P

I just bought the Rebo Band statue. I have wanted it for a while and figured why not. So did anyone buy the Jabba set and not need their Bib Fortuna coupon? I wasnt crazy about the Jabba statue but dig the Bib.

That's a great piece isn't it? I think they did a superb job on it.

Just an update on the Darth Maul with Bloodfin statue. Gentle Giant is no longer accepting returns for exchange. They finally listened to us and they will be attempting to fix the sinking Bloodfin problem, but they did say it could take two months or more. At least they are doing something about it though. For now, mine is sitting on my shelf with the Bloodfin resting on the base just like all the other ones.  :-\
