Speaking of the Hunger Games. The idea behind this movie has been done before. Back in 2000, the movie Battle Royale  came out from Japan. It has almost the same plot as the Hunger Games except its Japanese violent. Think Hunger Games mixed with Hostel.

Basically the government grabs a class of high school students and puts them in an arena to fight to the death.

We finally saw Hunger Games yesterday.  My faith in humanity already at an all time low went further with the fact that there were several young children in the audience (under 10 for sure)

I'm starting to be like Brent and will not go to the movie theater unless I really, really have to (ie Avengers)

AS far as the movie...awesome.  It was really well done, as others have said, faithful to the book and all around a great movie.  I still do not get how this became a teen girl deal but whatever...

I was concerned by the kiddos in the audience as well when we went.  I saw several parents taking kids that had to be seven at the oldest - which seems ridiculous.  Like Brent, I wouldn't let me kid near the books or movie before age 12, if even then.

Cabin in the Woods was ******* awesome. Blew me away.  Best theater experience I've had in forever.

Yes, its freaking awful. My wife and I love to watch Syfy's "****** Movie Night" (as well call it) on Saturdays. After the kids go to bed we crack the wine/beer and laugh our asses off.

You haven't lived until you see MegaShark vs Giant Octopus with Debbie Gibson (yes, that one) and Lorenzo Lamas or Debbie Gibson and Tiffany in Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. I only wish they were on Skinamax to add some much needed nudity to these abortions of cinema.

Did you see "Princess of Mars"? It was on the SciFy channel a few years ago. It makes John Carter look Oscar worthy. The only redeeming quality it had was Traci Lords running around in a slave girl Leia bikini.

Thanks for the reminder, Mikey!!  Definitely hitting that, though it seems it's going to be an Alien vs. Dead Aliens from the first Alien movie movie.

Ya this has been on my radar for sometime Steve, but I've stayed away from spoilers mostly.  I guess it's set in the same universe as Alien but isn't exactly a prequel to that movie....and I guess no xenomorphs, but you can definitely make out what looks like a standing human hybrid towards the end of some of the trailers.    ?

That's the guesses I'm making about the movie from the trailer.  I'm hoping I'm wrong since Aliens vs Predators with humans being there didn't work out a couple times.

I never saw the 3rd one, but the first two AVP movies were pretty bad....Hoping there's no Predators in this movie.  Not sure why there would be but ya..
