There is a carded Fett on eBay right now...

I picked up some stuff from that seller a few months ago (Ron).  Real nice guy, who I'd certainly buy from again.  I stuck that auction on my watch list, just in case.  I'd certainly snatch one up for the price it's at now, but I wouldn't go as high as even $300, which will definitely put me out of the running.  It'll probably hit somewhere in the $400 range again, as usual.

Wonder what Adam's gonna do...   ;)

Carded Fett will be mine ;) Either this auction, or one from Simon if he's able to get it (any word on that Fett yet Simon?)

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on the eBay piece.

I'm so torn over whether or not I TRULY desire this piece, or want it for the sake of a complete collection. I have to consider how happy I'd be with it. It's a big investment, and I'm really torn. I'll see how I feel about it Saturday morning when I'm looking the price over again.

I'm very strongly considering going from "Star Wars Collector" to "Prop Collector", with a few Star Wars items added on (Mini Busts, Kubricks). There are a lot of amazing prop replicas out there...

Im going to buy it, and I'm set on it now  ;D

Whats the absolute worst that could happen? If I lost interest, its something I can still potentially sell. While I doubt that will happen, it's a pretty "risk free" piece to own.

So, if the auction is sensible, Ill go that way. If not, Simon, I'll take that Fett lol

C'mon Adam, don't kid yourself (or us)...  You know that you mostly want it just so you can be President of the JD Kubrick club!  Sheesh...   ::)

You're just dying to see Dale and I bow down before your royal Kubrick self, aren't you!?!   :-*

BTW hotshot, there's a vintage Rocket Fett currently up for sale as well - only $14,000.  Would make a nice companion piece for the carded Kubrick one there, Mr. Daddy Warbucks...   8)

Nah, looking at it, I really do want it. lol It is a cool piece.

I dare you...   :-*

You could win that eBay one, and snag one off of Simon, and pull that video camera out and get to business!  Heck, you could probably still get about $75 back for the one that you open, since it's still the vintage chase version!   ;)

C'mon, show us what you've got Adam!

Well, I remember hearing about someone doing it with some high-end vintage figures (12-backs, POTF) a while back (just pix, not video), and it caused one hell of an uproar in that community.  Folks yelling that if you only wanted a loose figure, just buy a loose figure.  Don't screw up a beautiful and already somewhat rare collectible like that just to get a rise out of your fellow collectors...

So, with that said, I say you still give it a shot Adam and open one up, and see how well the Kubrick community tars and feathers ya'!   8)

I'd be crucified ;)

Although technically, for your collection you really should open your Luke, since he's a different figure lol

Is there something I should know about the Fett on eBay? It's price skyrocketd to over $600, it now appears bids have been retracted or removed.

Ah, wait, they were retracted, I see now. Seemed kind of suspicious; the Fett remains at an unusually low price...

Anyone have a cheap carded Luke they want to sell me?  Simon?  Doesn't even have to be MOMC.  A thrashed card would be just fine...  Thanks!   :-*
