I'm not absolutely sure when it is supposed to air, but I have read rumors that it might be closer to the season finale this year.  Seth MacFarlane has even said that it might be released on DVD before it airs for the first time.

Sounds like the Family Guy crew is at work on their third Star Wars spoof, tenatively titled "Star Wars: The Great Muppet Caper" (spoofing ROTJ).  The above link also mentions that Something, Something, Something Darkside won't premiere until Fall of 2009, which is disappointing.  Hopefully the earlier rumors about it hitting DVD before that hold true.

A new trailer is up for the next Family Guy spoof, "Something, Something, Something Dark Side", which is out on blu ray/DVD on December 22nd.  Definitely looking forward to this one, the trailer looks pretty good.

So straight to DVD huh?  Wasn't the first one shown on tv first?

Best part was when they did the freezing chamber scene:

Lois/Leia : " I love you"
Peter/Han : " F--- off"

I laughed for 10 minutes, mainly for the shock and surprise of it....

We got a chance to see this and I was a little disappointed.  It was no where as funny as the first one IMO. Wonder if they are gonna tackle the PT after ROTJ.

Ya I didn't really care for this installment as much as Blue Harvest.  Was funny seeing Dog the bounty hunter with the og lineup.  The F bombs were just too much for me even though I generally like the Family Guy type humor...Hopefully Jedi is better - and gets put on tv.

It thought this was pretty damn funny and had several hilarious gags. The AT-AT scooting his ass on the snow was good, the practice on a hot dog first or you'll rip your dick off was great, but the best was the "**** off" from Han to Leia. It cracks me up just thinking about it.

I got the DVD for Christmas and found it quite funny and vulgar in the typical Family Guy style!  Seth McFarland does a good job spoofing the Star Wars films.  I will agree that this one was not as funny as the first - The Empire Strikes Back is a much more serious film and a lot less corny than ANH, so it would seem that there is less material to spoof.  The Family Guy ROTJ should be pretty good as there's lots of corny material in that film that can be made fun of easily ;)

Snagged this on sale at Target this week. Good stuff! I think my favorite gags were "Giant boob nipple gun" and "Get ready to suck some Dack!" but that's probably the immature side of me coming out. The character that plays Yoda is great too.
