I picked these up tonight from my local Target (087-06-1172) for $14.99 each a steal considering the price point per basic carded figure (that is if you need all three figures from each set :P )

Indeed, if that's their new official price. I'm all for this change of events if it's true.  May buy a 2nd one at full price even, and a droid one too.

Jedi Mind Trick or were they actually on the shelves? Was there a tag confirming the price or do we think this is a pricing error?

I'm going to assume mind trick as there's actually no space for them on the floor, which could hamper fans getting them via the mind trick unless they commit to buying a case...  I've found if there isn't a spot for them, the Target employee often cannot open the case per a corporate rule they have to follow.

I called the store after checking the local stores inventory via the Target app. I spoke to customer service over the phone and just had them hold a case for me at the CS counter.

It doesn't show up in the Target app. However, the Hoth Leia set does.

No luck at Target. It looks like they didn't sell a single thing since the last time I was there. All figures, (cw,leg, vin) are all $9.99 now. All they have is obiwan, quigon, battle droi and plo koon ini multiples. There isn't even a price tag for these 3packs.

TGMax only has the separist speeder w/ geonosian.  :(

The DPCI is valid here in the NYC area, but the price is $24.99 each.  None to be found around here, though.  As for the pricing?  In the grand scheme of TVC figure pricing this still puts the individual figure price at $8.33 each.

Good score, CHEWIE.  So how do the paint apps on figures like Boba Fett, R5-D4 and the Death Star Droid compare to some of the more recent releases?

At 15.00 I would pick them up, at 25.00 it is much less likely. Ill try the DCPI trick and see what happens. Thanks for posting it.

I found these at the St. Louis Park, MN Target earlier today.  DPCI Mind Trick worked for me at this store - it's all in who you ask I guess.  I was very disappointed to watch them ring up at $26.99 each though.  Came to $55 for a set of two after my discount - yuck.  Yes, it is still an okay price compared to basic figures, but I wouldn't buy all 6 of these as basic figures.  Still, I'm happy to actually find something relatively new at retail.

At first glance, I'd say there's not many differences, if any... but I'm sure there may be some subtle changes that I haven't noticed (I haven't really compared them to previous releases very closely - other than the two new figures, the others went straight into a loose fodder box for now).

I think $25 isn't attrocious but it stings.  Hasbro figured out that 3 figures you already have = pass, and packaging doesn't necessarilly sell a toy.

Now 1 figure you want, and 2 you could give a rats ass about...

A  lot of it boils down to whether you don't mind what the extras are.  For the droids, I'm cool with it.  For the other set, I don't mind another Sandperson.  Coulda lived without Boba though, or at least seen a significant paint ap change maybe. :(

They're in the system here at $25 but none in stock in Pittsburgh either.  Glad I've got sets locked down because, with the way the line is, I've noticed a big spike in scalper activity around me.
