Since the good ole Rebels don't sport facemasks (except in EU outfits like the Infiltrators), I was thinking about which distinct/unique troopers I'd really like to get in the modern line...  With some pretty definitive Rebel Trooper bodies that would require only a new headsculpt, or possibly a new torso or small alteration to arms or whatnot, I think there could be some very cool specific characters (named or unnamed) put into the line.

First up, I really want this guy made...

(Fun to note whoever loaded the pic put the name "pornostache" to the .jpg file)

So Hoth Pornostache Commander is my first pick...  Some will go right away with a certain Endor Rebel I think, but this guy is cool, had a line, and sort of had a figure in the Vintage days...  I hope someday they figure a way to sneak him into a multi-pack or some such.

Let's try to just do one at a time that we'd really like...

Ugh.  None.

Enough with the rebels already - new fleet trooper in '11, new endor trooper in '10, new hoth troopers in '09.  Too much!

Everyone can't be Han.

Look at it this way...  Pornstache Commander may get you a weird Han update you didn't count on, which is really neat.

I want one based on Lee Greenwood, rest his soul.

(Fun fact: Philip Wise later purchased those same exact shorts, which he now wears on fishing trips.)

I thought his name was Lance Goodthrust?

By the way, that's one handsome man, that Lee Greenwood.

Rest his soul? Lee Greenwood is still alive, despite my efforts.  >:D

As long as they never make Shawn Valdez, I'm cool with unique rebels.

Why not him?  Not that I'm clamoring for him either, but just was curious.  He's kind of generic which is cool, but I'd just as soon see the Target Hoth Rebel out in the basic line or Legends since he's generic as well (both hats would be nice though).

If I'm not mistaken, the name was given to someone who was sick, as an homage to the individual.  I could be wrong on that, but I believe Decipher did that intentionally.

This is really more appropriate for the DBB Celebrity Death Thread.   ::)

To put it back on topic...  This is the guy I figured most people actually would clamor for:

Having the blonde bearded one in his scout armor disguise is cool, but I really think Hasbro is going to bust that new ENdor sculpt out and use it for a Nik Sant in his typical Endor Commando outfit.

Sideshow's figure is who I truly hope they take a good long look at if they actually do Sant though...  They did an incredible job, and he's very bald which is kind of neat.  This is really the only Rebel Trooper I can think of everyone getting behind a lot other than a certain cut scene guy getting some love in another thread.

They could put weequay's head on there for all I care. I just want to find a rebel fleet trooper without having to buy an entire case to get it.

Hell, I'd like to see something beyond the ROTS wave on the pegs.

Yes, I was.  Thanks.  RIP Uncle Jesse.  You may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten.

I'm with Lando, gimme some generic, facial hairless Rebel Soldiers and I'll be happy. I'd specifically like to see an updated version of the POTF2 Endor Soldier (the all camo dude)
