I picked one up through the Hasbro site as long as I was ordering

I did the same - I picked up the Artoo-Potatoo when ordering my GH 2-packs (and he arrived yesterday).

Artoo is a bit smaller than the other Potato figures, which makes sense I guess.  And he doesn't really have as many parts as the others, but at least he's got the mini-Holo figure which is cool.

I'm still not entirely sure why I'm buying these potato guys, so I guess I could go either way.  If they do make the eventual Obi-Spud Kenobi or Luke Frywalker, I'd probably buy them, but if this is the last one, that's cool too.  ;)

That's kind of how I feel about them too.  I think they are kind of neat as a "kitschy" sort of thing to have in the collection, and would likely buy any more they would make, but if its just these three - that's fine with me too.  I don't necessarily need a whole bookcase full of them :).  I ordered mine via HTS.com as well, and with reports out of Comic-Con that R2 will be a limited release, I'm glad I did just in case.

I should've ordered one when I bought my GH figures last week to save on shipping.  We have the first two potatos and I've never seen anything past Vader at retail.

Oh well, it's been an expensive month with my CC 501st and SS Anakin - I should take it easy for a while!

I was checking out a couple of wal marts today, and I couldn't find these with the new resets. I checked the clearance areas, but didn't see them there either. I wonder if WM has stopped carrying them, and that is why they are limited to etailers at this point.

I read a rumor via the TNI forums today that apparently some names have been registered that would tie the Potato Heads into Transformers as well.  "Optimash Prime" and "More than Meets the Fry" have both been registered, from what I understand :).

So does that mean Megatron would be a salad shooter?!

I love these little guys. Before I knew they were even being made, I found Darth at the TRU in Times Square. My wife and I laughed so hard we had to buy it. These are the oddball collectibles that I love and actually prefer to stuff like the 3 3/4" line. There's alot less of them and they're just so much more enjoyable IMHO....

I finally lucked out and found Artoo Potatoo at TRU today.  The trifecta is now complete.  ;)

As Jeff mentioned on the front page, Hasbro is reminding us of the upcoming WM Exclusive Tater & Trooper Tin, which will be available November 1st.  I'm praying that it makes its way north of the border.  ;)

I wouldn't hold my breath jesse, 1) it's walmart...2) it's an exclusive....3) it might help people who missed them the first time around....Most walmarts i've seen in winnipeg here are still on the Hoth wave...if they have ANY star wars figures...or a Heroes and Villains R2 or Mace. That DT Does look better with the chest piece at least. I just wish R2 would start showing up already though.

I saw in the Hasbro Q & A on another site that Costco was going to have these babies in a 3 pack for Christmas- Makes me wish I had waited, cause I sure don't need duplicates of these things.
