Spec-Ops Elite Commander w/ Covenant Carbine & Energy Sword

Hope that Series 8 isn't the last wave, after all, it's more than a year 'til Halo 3's released.

He's in Series 8- just with different weapons I think.

I remeber hearing on some forum (not SW, a Halo one) that Series 8 was the last Halo 2 wave, so Joyride can focus on planning the Halo 3 figures.

If I recall, the figures were out like 2 months before the game- some exclusives were in stores almost 3 months I think.
My whole expanse...I cannot see...

That's weird, the last wave of Halo 1 figures came out around 4-5 months before the release of Halo 2... Hopefully the year-long break between Halo figures means we'll get some really great Halo 3 product.

Looks like they're putting out some last little items:

Halo 2 Weapons Pack

UNSC Small Turret, Covenant Small Turret, Brute Plasma Rifle, Shotgun, Assault Bomb, Frag Grenade, Plasma Grenade.

That looks pretty cool.

Jackal Major

Same version of the Series 8 (or 7?) Jackal with a gold shield.

Blue Spartan

Includes Large Stationary Turret (the one on top of bases on multiplayer), Blue Flag, Shotgun, 2 SMGs, and interchangeable left hand.

This guy comes with lots of goodies....I like that.

Finally, a Red Spartan with a Battle Rifle and Plasma Small Stationary Turret.

All are Diecastexpress.com (Joyride's online dealer) exclusives and are expected to ship late September.
My whole expanse...I cannot see...

I thought Series 10 was cancelled...

Hopefully JRS decided to not cancel Series 10... I'd really go for an Elite Flood.

I was wondering, does Joyride still have the license to make Halo figures? I was wondering because I read somewhere that they lost the license. Is this true?

HeroClixesque "HaloClix" To Debut In '07

But Wait, There's More! Kotobukiya To Produce High-End Statues Based On Halo Characters

Looks like Halomania is sweeping the nation!

Seems pretty interesting, good to see more Halo merchandise on the market.

Thoughts?

Gentle Giant And Microsoft Form A New Covenant

February 9, 2007, Burbank, Ca. – Gentle Giant Ltd. announces a new partnership with Microsoft and Bungie Studios, that will bring fans of the best selling Halo franchise a series of high end collectibles and figures. Halo is a premier title for the Xbox platform, with the eagerly awaited third installment in the trilogy currently in development by Bungie Studios.

Gentle Giant plans a full slate of collectibles that will entrance casual Halo gamers and hardcore Halo fans alike. The license spans the Halo trilogy, meaning that Gentle Giant will produce a range of products from the entire series, including:

3-inch block figures (produced under the official Kubrick name in partnership with Japanese toy giant Medicom, pioneers of the block figure category),
12-inch collectible figures
resin mini-busts, and
1/4-scale mixed material statues

“This is something of a dream scenario for us,” said Gentle Giant Vice President of Product Development and Design Dev Gilmore. “We’ve had a long standing business relationship with Medicom and only have the utmost respect for everyone there and the products they produce, so we’re thrilled to partner with them on the official Halo Kubricks. Plus we have the opportunity to break some new ground and bring a whole new line of amazing collectibles to the Halo-loving masses. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
"This is the way."

Joyride Halo 3 Figures A No-Go
« Reply #44 on: February 28, 2007, 09:42 PM »
Dammit!

This really sucks, I was looking forward to Joyride's Halo 3 figures...

Looks like the 7' action figure license is up for grabs. Watch Mattel get it and release 20,000 Master Chief variants. I can see it now...

Master Chief
Master Chief (Jet Wings)
Master Chief (Ice Armor)
Master Chief (Fire Armor)
Master Chief (Kung Fu Grip)
Master Chief (Mega Grip)
Master Chief (Venom Armor)
Master Chief (Rocket Boots)
Master Chief (Power Attack)
Master Chief (Brute Slaying Armor)
Master Chief (Grunt Slaying Armor)
Master Chief (Holographic)

And Cortana, Brute, Marine, and Prophet Of Regret figures packed x1 per case each...
