Saw a ton tonight, and later too (not likely JUST put on the pegs) of 15+ of the Target Clone...  I'm thinking either the novelty is wearing off or the figure is just starting to saturate enough to sit still a while.

Like my post elsewhere...  The Target Clone hides under the "exclusive" title a little better than the EE sets, but the reality is that he's as easy to build an army with as those EE sets, which isn't too easy.  At $10+ per figure you're looking at maybe getting a nice squad together, or a little team, but not much better than that unless you have a lotta $$$.

The VOTC Stormie faired better at this price I think because of it being a classic trilogy figure...  Nostalgia drives people to funny behavior. :)

If Hasbro would do the variants in army builder sets at basic retail ($15 - $20 for 3 figs), I'd be ok with that...  That's the route to go I think, and I think it'd have greater success over a longer period of time, but that's my opinion.

I'm assuming you mean the Target Exclusive Clone Trooper.  Please check out that thread for info.

As for its rarity, it appears that a large number of the Clones have hit the shelves at many Targets in the last couple days, so it should be easier to find now.

And ebay as well.  Last week there were 300 Target clones on ebay.  Today there are over 800.  I do not think they are rare, many of us collectors aren't going to pay 12.99 for SA Trooper #41 with some paint on it.

Yeah I've seen a ton now at retail...  I wouldn't call it rare anymore, but it's amazing what people can do to a single area if they have the means to buy up all the stock.

Right now, my area seems to have had plenty of the Clones in and now some seem to sit a little due to the price.

Yesterday morning I was late seeing a full case actully sitting on the shelves. A hot wheels guys and another Star Wars collector who resells to fund his collection got them all.

I don't need anymore, but it still irks me to think about how imposible it will be for some regular Joes to get these.

I'm still hoping to find at least ONE in NC  :(

There was about two cases that hit here last week, and they were all gone within a day.

That really tells Hasbro more than I'd like them to know.

I wish I could just find one. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg on ebay for one...

Would anyone have even bothered with these if Target had gotten their original request of having the Target Logo on the chest?

Yes, even if they had the Target Logo for markings, I'd still want two - one loose, one carded.  :-[

Yeah, me too.   Completism is a very dangerous thing.  :-[

I'm a sucker for this stuff, as much as it pisses off guys like Dressel.   ;)
