Birthday score! (well, close enough anyway)

Our new TRU got in case of the Class II Special Value packs, and sure enough, the Mando shuttle was one of them!  ;D

Even better, the box is dead mint, even better than the one I got way back. I'm going to have to do some careful surgery tonight to extract it from the tape/shrinkwrap/etc though.

No idea what I'm going to do with the Anakin JSF. All I need now is the Wolf Pack gift set in a minty box and I can call it a year...

I guess people like the younglings?

The whole episode reeked of "greasy kid stuff" to me, and I'd almost forgotten it immediately after watching. Just so much fluff.

The whole time I kept wondering "how did they get that temple on Ilum rebuilt so quickly after the chameleon droids levelled it?"  ::)

What was Yoda doing just chilling out there? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to send a hologram?

The Hammerhead kid reminded me a lot of that psycho robot from Futurama that is always trying to stab everyone...LOL.

I think "Carol-watcher" was Andrew.

No question...Carol-watcher was definitely Andrew.

But now we have to wonder about wtf happened to Carol? I just assumed that was who the 2 zombies were munching on when they found her head scarf. But after watching "Talking Dead" I guess we are supposed to not know one way or the other. Makes sense I guess, unless they show someone die they are likely to resurface. But why even make a mystery out of it? The writers have to get them OUT of that prison and into Woodbury, so anything like a missing person seems to work against that. And we've already done the missing person ad nauseam with Sophia and even Andrea. So I don't see the point in dragging that out.

I'm back to not liking Andrea again. How did she get so soft again in just 8 months? She was way down on Shane's end of the survivor spectrum, all bitterness and anger, now she's all ready to settle down and play house with the Guvnah? You're pulling the wool over your own eyes, girl!

Carl, Lori, Rick and Maggie were all outstanding last night. That was just one of the most emotionally wrenching things I have seen on TV in a long time. Just utterly brutal. The whole thing was played perfectly...Lori's sobering realization, Carl's reaction, Maggie's quick action to save the baby.

Lori's little speech to Carl was heartbreaking to me, especially as a parent. You've got thirty seconds to spend with your child knowing you're about to die and what do you say? How do you sum up everything going through your head in a few heartfelt sentences? Agonizing.

I disliked her character, but that was some great acting on her part last night, and I'm almost sorry to see her go.

Rick's reaction at the end was so torturously tragic too, physically torn between rushing back into the prison or hugging Carl, and ultimately just collapsing under the unbearable weight of realization. That was really powerful.

Out of nowhere, this was one of the best episodes EVER.

The Vintage Collection / Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below

If 5 Below could just get their hands on any of those vintage waves after the Deleted Scene wave, I would be more than happy to throw money at them. I don't see how there are still cases of that pre-TPM stuff floating around out there. How much of that stuff did they make anyway?

Yeah, I agree with you guys, I have been planning all along to pick this up at HTS when they run one of their inevitable holiday sales offering free shipping, etc. Seeing as how this is the only Clone Wars toy I'll be buying for the rest of the year, no rush.

I'm all for clean slates.  Be honest.  Aside from a few moments, has this show really impressed you?

Actually, yeah, aside from the Katie Lucas episodes (banking regulations, senate debates, etc) I think it's been pretty outstanding. I enjoy this show much better than any of the prequels. But I have always been a huge fan of animated fare in general, so this is pretty much a mash-up of my two favorite things.

I'll kvetch about the writing and story choices from time to time like everyone else, but the visuals have been amazing and some of the new characters are really, really compelling, IMO. I mean, this is what got me BACK into SW collecting again, after years and years of being away.

I absolutely agree there is room for improvement though. I'm not sure what kind of impact the Disney move will ultimately have, but I'm cautiously optimistic. If nothing else it gives them another cable option for syndication.

Still selling off the remnants of my second case if anyone is interested.

Would CW Obi and Ahsoka be among those remnants?  :)

If so, I'm there!

Mickey Mouse's first order of business should be to cancel this bore-fest.

Ouch.

Maybe they could make it better?

So Disney aquires LucasFilm!

Lets hope Hasbro don't suffer the same fate as Palisades did with their Muppets line.

Havn't they just re-newed the license for 2020?

Is it safe?

where's a dentisit when you need one? ;D

ugh, don't remind me...I was in the process of getting a job at Palisades when they went under. That was a great toy company. Their Adult Swim offerings are some of the best stuff ever.

I like the idea of a post ROTJ re-boot with all new characters, maybe Luke as the elder Headmaster of the New Jedi Academy. Not set directly afterwards, but maybe 30-40 years in the future. I'd like to see them stay away from the Thrawn/Xizor/Vong stuff and go someplace new.

I used to sell a lot of CD's on eBay, and I agree the profit margin is generally not worth the effort. I will still do it from time to time, but in general there's not much of a heated market for recorded music anymore it seems like. Yet weirdly, it's pretty much the only place you can find actually music anymore though, it's amazing how quickly record stores went the way of the dinosaur.

What's all this then? New Star Wars movie? NEW STAR WARS MOVIE?!?!?

For tonight at least, I'm freaking off the charts excited. Tomorrow, the skepticism may start to set in, but right now I am loving everything about this!

There has to be some kind of positive upside for the Clone Wars franchise too right?

Was this the big event planned to bring collectors back starting next year? (guessing not, but...)

Hell yeah, new Star Wars movies! And now I can experience them side by side with my kids! Pure awesome sauce!!!

Yeah, they've taken an interesting interpretation of the Governor, very different from the comics. Dude is NOT supposed to be some strapping handsome guy. Seems like a stretch for Andrea to fall in line just like that.

Loved the headless pets. Loved bayonet-hand Merle. Still trying to figure out the effeminate lackey and how they are trying to play that character.

Walker-quarium?!?! Huh?

Why DO they care so much about Andrea and Michonne, and for that matter, Daryl? What's the point of trying to get information out of them? Even knowing the location of the farmhouse would be useless now because the prison is way far away.

Carol-watcher still a mystery...
